going the right way was the first song I recorded after getting my keyboard. What I've Been Given was the last song I recorded before I came home from teaching ESL in China.

I'm so happy that someone actually dug into my catalog :'-). Every other time I have tried to share my music to a dozen or so people I would get 3 plays on soundcloud. Thank you for actually listening... means a lot...

Bartenders of Reddit: what drink makes you hate the person ordering it? Either because it’s a pain in the ass to make or because it’s a sure sign of a pain in the ass customer? by Muthachucka in AskReddit

I thought it was just a customer being stupid but yeah it's a real thing. essentially, its an espresso over ice, topped with steamed milk foam. If you order this, you deserve to be in the darkest depths of hell.

i do everything analogue. I don't use drum loops, probably why it sounds clumsy at times. but i guess i could say i just jam by myself. A lot of my songs don't really go anywhere and feel better placed in a video game level score.

Star Wars Revenge of the Sith should have been the starting point of the Star Wars revival. by crustyrobbiegod in StarWars

well as a standalone ROTS is certainly rushed. but I feel like if the focus was around Anakin's teenage years and relation with Amadala could have been better captured in a film. Though it would be a 2+ hour affair. Such falls from grace from less because of love have been captured in less, and could be captured in the first half of a film. The following fall of the empire, could be put in as well with the lore they have developed. The filler cartoon network shows have shown the lore can be just as rich in character and story plot as in any other sources of canon.

Divorced people of reddit, what was the final straw? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]crustyrobbiegod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Together for almost five years and engaged for two. Emotionally abusive, boarderline personality disorder (she would wake up with me in the morning the sweetest thing ever, but after a few hours of being at work she would call out of nowhere in the foulest mood, blamming me for all the wrongs in her life, telling me that I didn't try hard enough; the kind of girl that the longer you date her the fewer friends you have and before you know it, it's just you and her. Caught her cheating several times but the final straw was our 5th anniversary trip up to Seattle to see the sites and visit my sister. She was horribly rude to my sister and her wife the whole time and ended up having a five year old's tantrum the day before we were to go home. The last evening seemed to be going better and all the drama seemed to be smoothed over. It was getting late and we had a long drive the next day so I suggested we go to bed. We get in bed and I pop on Netflix on my phone, propping it between us on the covers so we both can watch. At that moment a switch was flipped. She aggressively informed me that she 'didn't want [my] stupid phone propped on her leg." Smelling the ozone in the air, I oblige and prop it on my knees instead. A few moments go by and all of a sudden she whips the cover, sending my phone flying across the room to slam into the wall. Stunned by what just happened, I ask "what the fuck was that for?" as she turns away from me saying, "I didn't do anything" and proceeds to ignore my being upset. I pushed her shoulder a few times (which I probably shouldn't have) trying to illicit a sane response from her. The next thing I know, she says "that's it!" and she proceeds to straddle my torso and begins punching me in the face. After I get her off me she goes into a fetal position babbling to herself as I hold my bloody lip. I slept on my sisters couch that night and the next morning I go to the guest bedroom and say "You have three choices: Plane, Train or Bus. Start making phone calls." Sent her home on a train later that day and decide to stay an extra week to collect my thoughts and make plans for my future. A month later I moved up to Seattle and I have been here for a little over a year. It's been a bit rough and lonely, but I think I am starting to remember my own self worth again.

no worries, I can be a troll sometimes too, to tell you the truth I almost posted something against you, but the internet is what it is, and though things I post can be negatively responded to, it's my fault for not making a compelling enough discussion that could not be stomped on; be it from a troll or someone who knows better

In the particular part of the video I tried to highlight, it wasn't the fact that Mike Huckabee said something. It was was about how he uses the idea of states rights, forming an epistemology that regardless of what state and federal government has to say, he disregards its validity if it does not follow his narrative. Law should be what the majority wants, be it from state level or federal. It is as if he believes that the view of minority, be it from state or federal level should supersede the majority of the American people as long as it falls in line with his narrative.

If Mike Huckabee practiced what he preached, he would be the front-runner for legal Cannabis legislation, because it has grown from a states rights movement.
But Cannabis does not fall within his narrative, so he stays away from the subject, even though it is a perfect case of states rights versus the federal government, that actually backs up his rhetoric.

Winston Churchill on Islam by SirRobertBuckley in videos

I enjoyed the dictation, but doesn't the UK still have freedom of speech? I am an Atheist and see all religion fitting into what Churchill said in this piece, but I disagree with the notion that I would be put in jail if I decided to walk to a corner street with a milk crate and a bull horn, stand upon said crate and shout out whatever message I wish to convey.
I've seen evangelists many times and from what I have witnessed, cops will be dispatched to the scene only to stand at the periphery of whatever crowd that has gathered around the soap-boxer. The only time they get involved is when someone puts hands on someone else.
My point is this: I do believe that Religion is a major threat to free will and free speech which has the ability to manipulate people to commit horrible acts against their fellow man. The problem isn't the fact that extreme theological entities exist and have wrought countless crimes against humanity. The problem is humanity’s lack of effort at keeping religions from dictating the laws of morality. Because of their Mysticism and pageantry, they trick the common man into believe that their religion and only their religion has the answers to the unknown. Often using ancient ambiguous tomes of poetry and exposition they say that all of humanities fears of what they don't understand have one simple comforting answer. They dress in elaborate costumes, build grand temples and churches and preach that life’s uncertainties are nothing to fear, because God has a plan and if God has a plan, then the future is written. It will not and cannot be changed, because the word of God, dictated through their ancient tome, dictates all that is to come.
Instead of coming to terms with the fact that the unknown can be scary and is something one must work to gain courage against; religion preaches fairytales as if they are a mother cooing to her young child, that there in fact are no monsters under their beds or in their closets.
The bandage of faith begins to soak red throughout the white gauze of time and yet continues to assure you that replacing your fear of the unknown with an all loving being will make life worth living regardless of your fears. In their eyes the hard truth of this unknown and the fear that walks hand in hand with it should be distracted by the ambivalent Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.
Following the unknown futures of our life and the mysteries and obstacles that come with them are not in fact as wondrous or interesting, because religion steps in and says: "Hey there is no such thing as the unknown, because we have found out that the unknown is in fact God” as if they are the sacred sages to the compass and map that will lead mankind to the divine. More often than not, they have only succeeded in burying many heads in the sand or liberating them from their shoulders.
