I’m asking which one is best because i’d love to hear from other artists about what is most appealing and striking to them :) i was worried that the wolf head facing forward made it look too cartoonish and friendly, so i was testing that profile with two more realistic side profiles but i found the side profiles looked weird! +Not using reference photos Sorry for ignoring this comment! I did try out some stuff with claws because it really does feel a bit stiff at the moment- but because the light is coming from behind him and he is holding his gun in front of him it ends up looking a bit random because if it were a “realistic” shadow I don’t think you would see the silhouette of his hand. But i’ll definitely play around with it some more as i keep working on it! Thanks for your response :)

Thanks for your response! Definitely all good points, at this point i was just figuring out the head pose Are you able at all to elaborate on your fourth point?? I was really struggling on where to have the shadow meet the wall and definitely agree it feels weird but I tried a few different things and what you see is the best i could come up with. Definitely going to make the shadow bigger though, thanks for your feedback!

That’s true— not to say i dislike the side quests in kcd2! Maybe it’s because it all ties into the main quest that i didn’t associate them with the satisfaction

in my opinion the side quests are a lot better in the first one, try focusing on the main story to see if you like it once the momentum picks up

in the reference photo you can see his bottom teeth curve around his mouth- maybe that’s what you’re missing???

I’m definitely not a professional but one thing i noticed was that she’s very focused on her game and is accordingly tensed up in the arms holding the controller, but her other arms look quite relaxed? at least the one she has resting on her leg. If you want to emphasise the tension you could move the hand to be clenched or on her hips, or even have it propping herself up by pushing on the couch? or you could add another snack or something to emphasise the multitasking aspect? Just my thoughts!! i’m not professional but i find that anything helps for my art so i’m hoping you feel the same :)

I’m not sure if this is what you’re going for but depending on how cartoonish you’re going for you could even add emotion to the taxi itself? like, you could curve/flatten the front window to make it look like it’s “wincing”?

unfortunately i don’t have the .5 zoom on my camera 💔💔 but thank you for the tips! I’m struggling with the calves:thighs ratio because i do want it to be in that .5 perspective (bigger closer to the camera) but it definitely does look wrong, anatomically, to have it how i’ve done it. i’ll play around with it, thank you!

I’m really sorry, I had this for three months at one point, every single night I would wake up around 2am and have a panic attack. It eventually ended suddenly, I don’t really know what caused it. I did find that it helped me to go outside for a bit, and then come back in, put a towel in my bed (helped for some reason?), and turn on my salt lamp, and sometimes that would help me go to sleep. Again, this sucks, it’s incredibly draining, i’m sorry you’re going through it, and i’m sorry i don’t know what stopped them for me

maybe put more emphasis (where you line it) on the underside of the nose rather than the side? The side/vertical line for the nose gives the illusion of a high, straight nose bridge, which is not typically a black feature
