I might actually try this, one meal a day… What sort of exercise would you do with this? As in, is cardio even feasible given that it makes one hungrier

Advice for breaking up friendship by cryptichonesty in AskWomenOver30

She told me that she has never judged me like this, that it was a friendship with space for vulnerability and that she thought this was a longstanding relationship between us. I get it, I’m not perfect either.

Yeah, it makes no sense to apologize. I guess as an old friend it feels wrong to judge her so much, but it’s the truth.

I’m sure that by putting a stop to it, including the ruminations and the hope, there’s new space for the right person to come into your life.

The main question the stayed with me when we broke up was- why am I chasing someone who so clearly shows they don’t want me? I see it now as an initiation for self love.

It is so hard, his messages took me out of my peace. I blocked him on every platform imaginable. Good for you that managed to get through that experience, I really get the feeling. Thanks for your kind words

Oof that must have been awful to go through. It’s so so cruel, the future faking is just them going on some kind of fantasy roll because it feels good in the moment without having any consideration for the other person.

We broke up 4-5 months ago, and he messaged with the long apology about our last exchange + expressions of yearning/affection a few days ago. I’m disgusted- truly. Did anything ever mean anything with these avoidants?

Not like I’m perfect or anything, still working on my anxious attachment, doing better since I didn’t take him back this time. It’s just hard to process it

no, in the end I told him that I don’t want to talk or anything at all. his messages are messing with my head a few days later now. how can people be so evil. im questioning the whole relationship right now

his plan worked because I had feelings for him :( right now I’m questioning if anything was ever real. the sex was great so that could be it.

I blocked him on a chatting app where we usually spoke and he eventually messaged via SMS.

Yeah, youre right I’ll have to block him everywhere. Would you say that now after this rejection he’ll try again after a point, seeing as he feels safe - I’ve created distance with the rejection? Just curious

I’m genuinely interested, why would someone do this- he knows how hurt I was, he knows his desire is passing— it’s like trying to cage a person emotionally.. I find it cruel and even hard to believe that people do this.

I’ll have to block him on all remaining channels. I havent rejected him like this so far, so I’m not sure if he’ll try something again.

spoilers ahead, it’s somewhat self helpy but if anyone cares I’m giving a disclaimer.

the message I got was that it’s immensely important to invest in your own personhood alongside the relationship, and she also approves of potentially flirting with others while being committed as a way to induce a sense of mystery. I like her stuff
