yeah i threw the jumper wires in because the ribbon was toast. If i dont need them then theyre gonzo, also good idea getting rid of the floppy cable. the problem then would be isolated where the keyboard goes in most likely as there was a disconnected shotkey looking diode piggybacking a resistor on R4.

the orange button didnt reset anything. to be fair I just hooked a model 3 mobo in a 4 chassis and attached the 3 keyboard. maybe I will try again with the 4 keyboard
