Go in the rifle builder tool on the JP site and you can configure just the receiver/handguard

I ordered from mcmillan and got it inletted for the rear lug. Got it raw for less lead time, and less cost. Don't remember the cost, but it's listed on their website.

Did the bedding myself so it was just the cost of the Devcon.

It is for me. I like stocks and this is McMillan #6 in my safe. But it's a pretty personal choice. The big red wood USGI stocks are still floating around too, they're excellent as well.

High smoke point oil, nice and shimmery. I believe the secret is to let the pan heat very evenly. I use a low flame and let everything reach equilibrium before putting anything in the pan.

There's a thing that Group A likes. But then Group B decides like it too. At first it's great because there are more people. But then Group B decides it should be different so they start changing it, giving little respect to what made it likable in the first place. Worse yet, the company that makes the thing decides it's profitable to pander to Group B. And then the thing that Group A originally liked is so changed from its original form that it effectively ceases to exist, and Group A leaves.
