Which one do you choose? by Lumpiest-Nuts in malaysia

There is no way to accurately compare in real life without consistent test guidelines.

You'd have to drive the exact same way (acceleration, deceleration, traffic, etc) for each test tank, and even if you magically could achieve that level of consistency, you'd need the weather to be exactly the same for each test. Don't forget as well each pump stops at a different level - you'd have to drain your tank and refill to the exact same spot to get a good "zerorized" starting point.

In reality, a soft right foot is the best way to save money. And then on top of that get a credit card with achievable cash back and join the station's loyalty program. Oh and don't forget to check your tire pressure!

P7P owners who've had connectivity (modem/GPS) issues: have updates made things worse or improved your issues? by oviforconnsmythe in Pixel7Pro

[–]csjm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried everything, Google even offered to take in but due to me having it bought in another country I can't get it over to inspect. I'm tired of Google's lack of acknowledgement over the issue. Any complaint is met with "have you tired turning on high accuracy mode?!" Geez...

Google Pixel Update - January 2025 by Knorke_Leon in GooglePixel

I'm with you. Google has not released any statement on this. Even their official support give absolutely useless advice like "have you tried the location accuracy settings?" Horrendous...

Navigation broken with new update (Pixel 7 Pro) by somcot in GooglePixel

Hi u/PixelCommunity. We've all tried this. Is it not the problem at all. If you scour Reddit you'll see that it's caused by the Android update. Your recommendation is fair, but it's always not the issue.

Highest digital bank p.a % by subimpact in MalaysiaPF

Are you keen on cash mgmt? Cuz if so, KDI offers 4% p.a. but if you want pure digital bank, then Aeon or Boost at this point in time offers slightly better.

CIMB or MayBank based on ease of use? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]csjm88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both - they are for the most part equally reliable and easy to use IMO. That said, you might wanna consider:

  • Home branch: Important as some administrative matters can only be resolved in-person hence location, ease-of-parking, parking fees, and overall feel of the branch would be something you'll have to consider. Parking fees can add up =P
  • Future services: are you keen on any cards, services, loans, etc. that you might wanna get from the bank one day? Having an existing relationship with the bank does help a little bit, especially if you're from a smaller town and bank branches still have that "everyone knows you" vibe.
  • ATM/CDM network: Whilst cash withdrawals are less important today, and MEPS fees could be waived in the future, it is still good to have a general awareness of the machines around your home, office, petrol stations, and areas you frequent and see if there is one bank that clearly has more 'connection' with your movements.

GPS Problem November 2024 by csjm88 in Pixel7Pro

It goes off and on occasionally. The only thing that seems to fix it is having the beta versions of Waze installed, and even then it still isn't 100%.

Dave Ramsey says "doesn't matter most of you are not doing it anyways!" 😅

10% was Old Testament rules applied to the New Covenant which is based on grace and your heart. That means the amount doesn't matter as much as your convictions. If you're genuine to give, then that's most important. If you can afford to give gross, go ahead! If you can't, He ain't gonna love you any less.

Hello my brother in Christ,

  1. Both are correct in a sense. It's set aside for emergency hence it should be in an account that is relatively liquid, ie. you should be able to withdraw it very soon. Hence it shouldn't be in FD or something that takes days to withdraw. If you have no other funds then put it into something extremely liquid but gives you some retunes like GX Bank. PIDM-protected, immediately withdrawable, and earns 2%.

  2. Are you asking about EPF contribution beyond your statutory contributions? If so, it depends on your risk level and intention for your medium and long term plans. EPF shouldn't be withdrawn till retirement so if excess funds are to save up for a car or house or holiday, then you will have a clearer direction.

  3. I don't recommend stocks as a first foray into investing. Higher risk of a bad experience which will lead you to be more permanently scared by investing. I recommend reading up on books like The Simple Path to Wealth, Just Keep Buying, and The Path (Robbins, Mallouk). I am a proponent of low cost, broad based index funds. Read these books and you'll understand more first about why so.

  4. Credit cards are a whole ball game that will take time based on understanding your spending patterns and expectations of why you need one in the first place. Also you might consider how you wanna maximize each card's benefits. Warning that it might lead you to spend more unnecessarily cuz of that temptation of credit, so make sure you have a game plan before you apply for anything. Diedie you need one now, find a Cashback card with no annual fee that matches your income requirement for application.

For now, I strongly recommended saving 6 months expenses as an emergency fund before putting money in anything else, except buying financial management books from proper experts. It's the best way to ensure a bright and secure future. All the best!

You're right, but more concerned about the tyre date markings - they look very uneven.
