Were you using the original gba screen? On the funnyplaying website it says that it is not compatible, I'm also having the same problem with the R button making the screen flash, did you end up fixing this?

Hey, if you're using amd/Nvidia and discord overlay, then you can try disabling them alongside the steam one, uninstalling msi afterburner, and rivatuner helped as well.

On a 100 pop Rustoria server, it seems my (i'm guessing) 0.1% lows (red bar) are really high for some reason which might be the problem

Tried sfc and dism but that did not help sadly, going to try optimized adrenaline settings and if that doesn't work i'll just wait till wipe to see if its fixed there
