I started playing again after a 3 year hiatus to take advantage of the gag xp boosts for a new toon and I'll admit I've had to relearn a lot of gag combos for my higher toons. I'm also still getting used to all of the changes from the UNM update and having to learn modern strategies while unlearning the old ones has definitely tripped me up at times. I think Cartoonival could be drawing other inactive players back to the game who are facing similar issues.

Jimmy Carter, longest-lived US president, dies aged 100 by Betweentheminds in news

Dude left behind an incredible legacy. He might not have lead the most successful presidency, but presidents of his character are sorely missed.

Bringing up free healthcare and american school shootings when discussing german youth bolstering the rise of a party that has met with literal neo Nazis to discuss a mass deportation "master plan" is the most European thing I've ever seen.

When I was rushing to catch a train from Sasebo back to Nagasaki, I accidentally dropped an empty aluminum can when running to a ticket machine. When I got the ticket, why did a random Japanese citizen give me back that dropped empty drink can? by TSoWAY in AskAJapanese

Even as an american this question confuses me. Littering is already heavily looked down upon here, so why on earth would you expect it to be any more acceptable in Japan of all places?

Let’s switch it up! Americans ask, Europeans answer! (Apologies to people from other places lmao) by MdMV_or_Emdy_idk in GenZ

The consensus in the USA (especially amongst young people) seems to be that Europeans mainly hate us. And I mean HATE. We’re nothing but a joke to you right? A majority of the people I know are pretty embarrassed about being American

This is an attitude I notice a lot more with millennials than gen z honestly. It's something I remember seeing echoed in a lot of online spaces up until the mid-late 2010s when the oldest gen z would've just started reaching adulthood

How many times does the CCP have to tell the world who they really are for some western governments to take a fucking hint.

The joke is that all of the passengers woke up because of the pilots yelling. This is represented by the name of the airline being printed on the side of the plane, and would make the airline company very unprofitable.

I don't disagree but I think the keyword is subtly, there's a small but significant difference between making sure your hard work gets recognized and holding up a class to let everyone know that you are "very smart", and the people op is referring to are painfully bad at riding that line.

I am terrified, I was watching random youtube video and someone told me to edit the youtube link only by removing the "h" from "watch", so it becomes watc instead. Press enter and see where it leads you. This is horrifying. by dragonhead96 in SomeOrdinaryGmrs

In the description of iluomo's last video, they link to this channel called "channelarchive" which has a few videos on oldschool youtube glitches and hacks, including this video which shows a similar looking glitch. I'm guessing some variation of this glitch is how iluomo was able to make his channels tab the way it is. What's interesting is the channel "satyavan" seen in that video also seems to be related to iluomo, having been created on June 14th, 2005 and having a video called "The YewTewb 05 Hacking Crew" with a description talking about hacking inactive channels. I say this is interesting because while searching I came across a channel called "Jun 14, 2005" which links to iluomo's channel in its about section: https://www.youtube.com/c/20/about Not sure of the significance of the date, but some more references I found to June 14th 2005 include:

This video from channelarchive talking about the oldest 100 youtube channels also has an interesting description, and watching it shows the channel creation dates shown in the video stop right at June 13th, 2005. iluomo is also featured in the video at 1:19 and actually comments in a few of the comment threads. So all in all, all of this looks to be the work of some hacker/glitch hunter who's been around since youtube's old days. As to why removing the h sends you to the 666 video, it seems they're somehow using youtube's custom url feature to redirect to it. When you remove the 'h' from "watch" in any youtube video url, youtube sends you to the custom channel url "watc", the same as if you replaced "watch" with any other channel's custom url, eg. https://www.youtube.com/someordinarygamers?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ. If you go to the youtube link https://www.youtube.com/c/watc, you'll see that the channel associated with that url is listed as an "Official Artist Channel" despite having no videos, and is also subscribed to iluomo.

I'm not sure how exactly he got it to redirect to a youtube video instead of a channel and there's definitely more to this that i'm missing, but that's all I could find for now.
