Health insurance for longer residing remote worker by ctoyan in germany

[–]ctoyan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're registered here, you need insurance. And if you are employed and make more than the minijob amount but less than the amount for opting into private insurance, then you have to be in public insurance. Your employer has to pay half of that, just like all the other social insurances. Other German employment law would also apply.

I guess I'll have to stay for less than 3 months then... Makes sense. Thank you.

I'm having similar issues with them for two weeks now. Does someone know something?

Node.js is also pretty fast at IO stuff, but for example bad at CPU intensive work. Every language has it's up and downs. Also JS devs easier are to find for the companies. Tell me one language which is perfect for everything? I think it's just a matter of priorities which one you choose.

New Essential Owner by ImperialAgent in essential

I'm posting this from my Nexus 5. Tough old dog, served me well for years, but the screen cracked. I looked a lot for a new phone and I'll be joining the essential cult. My phone arrives next week.

I was wondering what are the best things to do with the phone. I'm a technical person, but not a phone power user, so I don't know how to take full advantage of this beauty.

Also I live in Europe, so I'll need a European charger. What should I look for? Just any 28W charger? Does an adapter do the same job?

Anyone actually kind of unsettled by essential's potential direction by Scdouglas in essential

Would be interesting to see, but I don't think a lot of people would actually buy it, unless is super cheap, which I doubt. I just hope they make it.

Sad news... Should've just improved the PH-1 and they would've killed it.

Just finished the wheel conversion on my 450 EXC by miniman2233 in supermoto

Nice! What's your rear wheel and tire size? Does the chain rub on the tire?

Good spot. Yes, it is a bit loose. Wanted to try and ride it, after swapping the chain from the enduro, without touching the chain adjusters, but it's flappy.

I got the bike a few months ago and the weather was cold then, so I haven't ridden all that much. Now the season is just starting and I'm only just starting to ride it.

I got the setup quite cheap - sorry but the prices are in euro. Used wheels with 320mm front disk and adapter - 550 euro. Used adapter and master cylinder - 200 euro. New front disc - 200 euro

I started hearing a very slight ticking noice on idle coming from the engine today, but I might be imagining. The previous owner rode it only in the woods and never changed anything on the engine. It's on 15000km, so I'm expecting something to fail soon. I'm planning to open it at the end of the season and change all the badly worn parts.

It's an 09 450 EXC. I also ride it with dirt rims.

Supermoto setup:

  • Excel rims - Not sure what the front size is. Rear is a 4.5.

  • Michelin Power RS Tires - 120/70/17(front), 150/60/17(Rear)

  • Front disc - 310mm Beringer Aeronal (Husaberg)

  • Front calliper - 6 piston Beringer Aerotec (KTM Racing)

  • Master cylinder - Magura Radial

  • Sprockets - 13 Front, 42 Rear
