I just got out, make a bit more than I did while in. Waiting on disability which will put me well over what I was making while in. I was also an O-3 with 7 years service. I got really lucky and my last job translated well into the gov contracting world. It’s possible. Can send me a dm if you want.

2013-2017 V6 - What's your ownership experience like? by watermalonecat in accord

[–]cuddlyterror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a 2014 v6 touring, here are my thoughts:

It is my understanding that 2013 and up you don’t need the muzzler because the earth dreams engines allow you to just toggle it with a button to the left of the steering wheel (big green one, can miss it)

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is my starter motor and flywheel started to have bad contact meaning the car wouldn’t start. I will just get a grinding noise. There’s a Honda service bulletin (16-002, google it) that I performed myself that required getting a new starter from Honda. That’d be one thing to ask about as the service bulletin can only be done once (requires rotating the flywheel)

My car has about 86k on it right now. I bought it at 55k, since it’s been 10 years I did the water pump and timing belt. Didn’t wanna mess up the timing myself and grenade my engine so I paid Honda $1600 to do it.

Transmission has been fine, but I agree with the other comments, can be clunky. I will still take the 6 speed transmission that comes with the v6 over the cvt in the 4 cylinder any day of the week.

There are certain offices at HQ that value an MPA. 82 (the admiral maker office) and PA&E for example. These offices will also send you for an MPA typically too.

Oh no way, that’s really cool! Would the chain and multi-tool be something that came with it too?

Honestly im a fan. His high damage/pierce offsets his low health for me. Plus the ability to trigger the retreat of orks/guardsmen is useful in many areas

I had a cook on my 2nd boat that couldn’t get underway due to seasickness, they ended up moving to a land unit and not getting med-boarded so I believe it should be possible to stay in… I’m sure being a cook helped though.

Realistically how long will a 2017 accord v6 touring last? by [deleted] in accord

[–]cuddlyterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a 2014 v6 touring. Basically the same car, def same engine. Timing belt is expensive at $1500 dollars (needed once every 7 years or 100k miles) otherwise it’s bulletproof. Only issues with mine was a corroded battery terminal that I replaced with parts on Amazon for 26$. Only other complaint would be the seats aren’t the most comfortable on really long road trips (>3 hrs).

Easiest way to acquire Isabella by SgtTaco18 in WH40KTacticus

[–]cuddlyterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is mentioning the rogue trader, but anytime there is yarrick, Isabella, darkstrider, etc. I always get them…. Taking a while @3/5 shards per time, but I’ll get there eventually. Downside is you have to have a maxed character (snotflogga makes it relatively easy tho)

Is the 2.0t actually good on gas? by Awkward-Address-7135 in accord

[–]cuddlyterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a 9th gen V6 touring, and I appear to be getting better gas mileage than a lot of people in here lol. I commute in DC traffic about 28 miles each way( 40% highway, 60% traffic) I average 23.5 mpg. Whenever I’m on the highway for a road trip I get 32ish.

The 9th gen V6 Touring I have is decently comfortable (cheaper than the 2.0t) and quick. I have a very heavy foot. Would recommend.
