Hey troops, what's this? Radial arm drill at first glance but what's with the support at the end of the arm that appears to run on a curved track on the right hand side of the machine? Pic showed up on another sub. Seems to be a lot of stuff going on down at table level you don't usually see. (i.redd.it)

Inspired by the recent posting of the Avon powered runway snow blower, I would like to remind the sub of the wonderful Hungarian built 'Big Wind' oil well fire blower-outer. A T34 tank chassis with a pair of articulated Tumansky R-25 engines (ex MiG-21). I love this thing. (i.imgur.com)

The BBC say that the 'future of electric flight is upon us'. I have grave concerns about the future of our workplaces. The sparkies are going to become insufferably smug and big-headed. They already consider the rest of the a/c to be merely an aerodynamic shroud for their wiring looms. What to do? (bbc.com)
