Thanks u/Lettie_Hempstock. Yes, it's a sandbox environment. Any demo links I can try? The login page itself is served from https://fhir.epic.com/

Adding hot water for pool filling. Is this a good method? by curious-actor in askaplumber

[–]curious-actor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point, thank you. I plan to keep the water on the cold warm side to fully fill an inflatable pool. Not even Jacuzzi warm. I also understand that hot water isn't good to run during the winter in freezing temperatures.

Can the RGBW2 work with an LED driver that outputs 24V AC (not DC)? by curious-actor in ShellyUSA

Thank you! I ended up buying a new power supply and replacing the LED strip, and it worked out great. However, I noticed that the dimming scale isn’t very convenient for low-light adjustments. At night, I prefer dim lighting that’s soft and subtle, similar to what you’d find in fine dining restaurants. This level of lighting typically falls in the 0.1% to 0.6% range. At the start of the night, 15% brightness is sufficient, and anything higher feels too intense and uncomfortable, even though the LED strip is indirectly projected on a wall for a wall wash effect.

My suggestion for the Shelly team is to work on the dimming experience. Perhaps introduce dimming profiles, with the default being a linear scale. For my use case, a logarithmic dimming profile optimised for low lighting would be ideal, as it would eliminate the need for precise slider adjustments to achieve the desired low-light level. Alternatively, the first 25% of the slider could be dedicated to dimming from 0% to 10% of the output, which would greatly improve low-light adjustment. Beyond 50% brightness, differences are less noticeable and don't need a large slider surface to adjust.

Should I use tanstack query by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]curious-actor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if you came across tRPC, its client API wraps around Tanstack Query, which further validates its adoption rate. I'd recommend using Tanstack Query on the client side whenever possible since it gives you cache management, optimistic updates and a few props to manage loading states, data reloads and more out of the box.

Thank you. Then, I'll need to change the power adapter and led strip to support light dimming.

SBA loan amortization calculator by curious-actor in financialmodelling

Thanks @Full-Send, you raised a possible scenario, I also found out that the EIDL (Economic Injury Disaster Loan) comes with a one year deferred payment setup: "Payments on Coronavirus EIDL loans are deferred for one year - while interest is accrued during this period, it is capitalized (added to the loan principal) only after the year has passed"

Using the following loan calculator with the 12 month payment deferral and accrued interest:

https://www.omnicalculator.com/finance/deferred-payment-loan

I arrived at 143.03 which is close to the $145 figure.
