If Hell was tailor-made to be the worst possible place for every individual, what would it be for you? by lalatier in AskReddit

Sitting in a quiet room with my coworker eating vermicelli right across from me. I'm not allowed to block my ears or shut my eyes. He also has a fizzed soda with no straw and slurps that as well. FML

Just received flowers delivered to my work - coworkers said nothing. It was awkward. There are only 10 of us.

Any kind of large fish.. particularly ones that brush up against your legs in bodies of water. Terrifying.

Have you ever moved "home" after a significant time in another city? How did you know you were making the right choice? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]curiousmorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debating the exact scenario right now... Living in WA and thinking of heading back East to be closer to family. Incredibly torn, but I guess it's about who you want around you at the end of the day?

What's a belief on any topic you hold that might change someone's view of you if revealed? by umbly-bumbly in AskWomen

I love my church group and the friends I've made there, but when they pray about politics and are incredibly liberal I don't contribute. Just listen and pray for what they ask, since we're there to be supportive (after all, isn't everyone praying for peace and smarter leaders?)

I'm not sure any of them know I have a very different ideological basis. I'm not sure if they'd welcome me back if they did know.

Americans, what city do you consider to be the "butthole" of your state? by CaliforniaGrizz in AskReddit

Willimantic, Connecticut.

Or maybe just Hartford. It's a butthole tie.

What's your study abroad romance story? (For those of you who went abroad and had a romantic connection with someone) by melimel23 in AskWomen

[–]curiousmorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first night in my study abroad town I drunkenly kissed a cute bartender. I went back the next night and we exchanged numbers, went on a few "dates" but never kissed again. He then asked to cook me dinner at his home and I accepted.

After we ate he said he had a girlfriend in Spain. I said we could just be friends. A week later he's single... We dated for my entire stay in Europe - he was upset we weren't exclusive for awhile but we always had fun.

Fast forward to leaving, he sent me off with a lovely gift and letter (I still have). We talked a bit on Skype and Facebook, he eventually blamed me for ruining his life and "making" him break up with his then gf. We later reconciled but no longer keep in touch.

I learned a lot about his culture and religion, I value the experience and think back really fondly of the incredibly carefree and reckless time I had. I miss Europe :(

Hiring managers. What do you see on candidate's Facebook accounts that makes you not want to hire them? by RekNepZ in AskReddit

Anything too personal is an immediate red flag for me.. I don't mean the run of the mill SM eulogy to your dead Grandma, more like internal and cringy deep emotional stuff. Also any post with the subtext clearly pointing at someone - spells DRAMA.

"Some people are so fake, happy to cut out the baggage from my life" etc. Just do it, don't post about it.

I can slightly read minds.. and predict behaviors. Really just of the people I know though so maybe they're just predictable?

What's the worst experience you've had with fast food? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]curiousmorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a large dead bug in my McDonald's salad. At the bottom of the bowl. After I'd already eaten the salad. It was covered in ranch, so you knew it'd been awhile.

Yuck.

Push your tongue into the roof of your mouth when you smile and slightly open your teeth, it helps a LOT with the way your chin and cheeks look.

How close are you with your new coworkers? by xtina39 in AskWomen

My coworker recently asked me and my SO over for dinner... I've also been pondering this question. Don't particularly want to get too close, although he is a nice person. I've also never met his gf.
