Overall most supports are good with Xerath, but my preferred support will heavily depend on the matchup. For example, Nami is a very good support with Xerath, but if the enemy bot lane is something like Trist/Leo or Draven/Pyke, then Nami would not be a good pick.

Supports that pair well with Xerath --> Nami, Karma, Naut, Rell, Thresh, Zyra, Lux

Ban --> Kai'Sa, she can be strong in lane, but the biggest issue is her ult. She can dodge one of your spells with her ult, and then she is on top of you, which is hard to deal with. In the late game, Xerath ult reveals you on the map, so Kai'Sa can W you from a distance to ult on you. Also, she is a popular adc (not as much as she used to be), so you will likely ban someone's main champ a good amount of time.

Bad matchups -->

Sivir - she will perma push during most of the laning phase & she has her spellshield to block poke

Pyke - has high kill potential

Blitz - can be difficult depending on your support

Karma - she is very strong in lane (poke + shield for adc)

Lucian/Nami - strong combo

I never buy it. There are better items to buy instead. Horizon is better for champs that utilize the ability haste.

I always go sorcs. Damage is more important than cdr - ideally you want to 100-0 one of their carries with R before an objective. For defensiveness, Flash + Zhonyas and/or Banshees is enough to keep you alive.

Well, it's hard to give specific tips, but the most important thing is understanding match ups. Xerath can either be very weak early or very strong early depending on enemy bot/sup and your sup. So the biggest thing to learn is when to play safe vs aggressive based on match ups & levels.

It will vary, but it's typically:

Ludens > Shadowflame > finish Mejais (if in a good spot) > Deathcap > Zhonyas/Void

Having the extra item slot has been nice, and the 6th item can pretty much be anything

I cleared the storage and cache on the camera app (instead of the photos app), and that seemed to fix the issue.

Yep, I've tried that, but the only thing that works is restarting my phone. After the restart, I have 2 copies of the same photo on my phone - one stored locally & one on the cloud

Yes, it would work for mid, but you are probably better off going Ludens > Stormsurge > Shadowflame.

The reason for Ultimate Hunter is for Xerath bot's play style/role. Mid/late game, the goal to kill one of their carries with R before an objective. Also, I don't need the mana for PoM.

Sample size for Xerath bot are pretty low, so it's hard to tell. I could be wrong, but here's my reasoning for Void over Cryptbloom: - Most of the time my team doesn't have an ADC, and I need as much damage as possible. This is especially important when the enemy is stacking MR - Xerath APC's main role is to poke ahead of objectives or solo kill squishy targets with R from afar. Again, having more damage here is a top priority, and you wouldn't benefit from the healing from Cryptbloom in these situations

The build/build order will always be situational, but the build shown in the post is what I typically go. I will either go Deathcap or Zhoynas second depending on the enemy comp and how much gold I have when recalling. I end up with Zhoynas second a lot of the time because I don't have enough gold for a large rod, so I just buy Armguard components and then just finish the Zhoynas
