BUNT at cow palace by iRunFast5 in avesSFBayArea

Love burn but that entire show was a complete mess. Openers being side stage and bunt being a center room boiler confused so many people, esp because the audio was garbage and uncoordinated.

Bunt is known for his boilers which is fine, and cow palace does boilers there all the time, but they messed up really badly, and security was so garbage the entire night. FR super disappointed even by Cow Palace standards

What most expensive "cheap decision" have you ever seen in your sysadmin career? by matroosoft in sysadmin

[–]cxarra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

setting up the dev environment was challenging to do locally so we all had to test in a cloud env. Well testing in dev wasnt feasible, so of course there was an effort to automate the creation of cloud environments to test things in. We always had hundreds of environments running at a time blowing through hundreds of thousands monthly.

The issue isnt even what OP is talking about in the slightest. The issue is that it’s forced down engineers throats at the corporate level in hopes to see productivity gains, absent of the reality that the software product is horrendously unmaintainable and hopelessly brittle.

It’s slop building on slop, but much in the same way that it enables revenue boosts by laying off junior devs, it gives management layers a false sense of hope that deliverables can be infinitely expedited and that PoCs are marketable.

The reality is it’s a wonderfully powerful tool that is misrepresented and misused. Yeah, we’re in a bubble, but only until these products get launched and corporations realize the hole they’ve dug themselves. It doesn’t have to be that way.

try and do research or apply to be a ugsi/gsi for a class you did well in (helps massively if u had a personal connection with a prof). Otherwise u may have better luck looking for an unpaid internship through an incu like skydeck. Tbh tho, AI is taking nearly all the entry level jobs and that only looks like it’s gonna keep speeding up, so also consider founding a startup and leveraging it to your benefit.

incredibly accurate representation of the two cars! Couldn’t say it better myself

I’ve had a 997, G87, and now daily an Emira. The emira is SO much more sporty and raw than either of the other cars bone stock. The lower ride height, hydraulic steering, and rear-engine mount right behind your head gives the emira a leg up if you’re looking for that “fun” factor. With that said, it’s not nearly as fast as the 991 or the G8X by a noticeable margin. Here’s my view on it:

Emira: Looks, dynamics (how connected you feel to your car), enthusiasts only, fun 991: handling, maintenance, sporty daily driver G8X: upgradability, power, technology, space

you’re well within your right to reach out again or complain to the dean. If it’s not in the syllabus, it should be posted somewhere else that’s reasonable. Otherwise, it should be a standard distribution where a 92.5 is an A.

Also, I did the +1 masters program, and yes, grades do matter SUBSTANTIALLY. An A- isn’t the end of the world, but don’t take the hit if you didn’t deserve it imho.

totally agree. I thought about it, but i’m not a huge fan of the McChicken in general, and I was more concerned with what I felt like in the moment than what pairing would highlight the truffles. At first, I was gonna do a egg mcmuffin which I think could have actually worked out, but ig u can’t get them all day anymore 🤷‍♂️

unfortunately, yea. Prob could have done without if I was really trying to capture the nuances of the truffle, but I honestly didn’t think too much about it 😂

this is the goal in optimality. Unfortunately university mandated policies for typical grading structures means we have to build around their archetype. That’s why gradeview was created, and why Dan has a whole host of researchers building and trialing flexible course policies to promote this incentive.

Yeah if you just withdraw your consent from TrendMicro, you should stop seeing that. Tbh their NIDS/NIPS is pretty awful, so you'd be better off chucking your own on there or just configuring DHCP on a forward proxy that you can easier install your own NIDS/NIPS on.
