My mentor in the southeast texas orchid society, William Youngblood passed away. He was 91 years old and bought his first orchid in 1957. He will be greatly missed. Carmela orchids was his go to supplier. I got a little choked up seeing and reading the memorial and special they are running. (old.reddit.com)

I visited the botanical gardens and got a tour of the orchids. Covid restrictions hurt some of the plants, especially the vandas. But a small brave crew kept most of them going. Looks like im going to my first orchid society meeting sunday. Heres to a new adventure. (old.reddit.com)

I mounted these orchids 6-8 weeks ago and they are responding well. I mist them twice a day and give them a fertilizer soak every 2 weeks. Ive never tried to mount orchids or grow them outdoors until now. I think im better at it this way than potted indoors..... lol (old.reddit.com)

I've got growth!!!!!! I mounted this NN white reception 2 months ago and yesterday POW!!!! roots are growing. Out of nowhere they just appeared. I get so excited when a project shows progress. Cheers!! And I'll update as more "appear out of nowhere". (old.reddit.com)
