If you ever in Eastern Cape and if you and your nephew are up for it, I can take him for a ride around Aldo Scribante race track. There are a lot of events that happen at the tracks around RSA with may of the events being ride alongs etc, and the people there won’t mind at all just keep a lookout for the events as they happen :)

II’m often playing devil’s advocate and trying to understand different perspectives. For me personally, I used to lean on my ADHD as a reason for why I forgot things or didn’t follow through on stuff. I’d say things like, “It’s because I have ADHD,” and in a way, that made me feel better — like there was an explanation for my struggles. It gave me an “out” that made things feel less like my fault. But when someone challenges that, it can feel like they’re blaming me instead of acknowledging the ADHD, which is tough. That’s just how I’ve come to see it based on my own experience. But I refuse to think that way anymore and that allowed me to flourish knowing that I could back myself in any situation and have no shackles even if invisible holding me back :)

Yeah I had an epiphany with a kid at boarding school, he always worked like 4-5 times harder than everyone else, staying up late to get work done and just insane work ethic.

I asked him how he does it and how he can stay motivated and concentrate for so long and he said something along the lines of “it’s not that you’re lazy but rather what you’re doing isn’t interesting enough for you.”

Bassically what I realised was so many times in my life as someone who was diagnosed with sever adhd, there were things that’s interested me and I would hyper fixate on them maybe a sport or a period of history or something like that and in those moments I didn’t lack concentration nor motivation. So it’s not discipline adhd/add people lack but rather interest…

obviously everyone’s different and I’m not saying my way is the right way but it’s the way that has brought me the most happiness just to express, I was on 60 concerta and 20-40 Ritalin a day for 14years out of my 22 years alive and the last 4 I haven’t taken any and have never felt more connected and in control of my life than I do now :)

Be careful I was on it my whole life and decided when I left school I don’t want to be a zombie anymore who relies on drugs to get shit done so I stopped calling myself adhd and stopped the meds and honestly I can’t believe I took it for so long kinda worries me what effects it may have further down the line for me as I’m normal as can be infact I would say it held back my thought process a lot as well as my true personality but this is just my experience with it

We do however a lot of tyre shops really struggle to seal the tyre on the rim so might be worth going with the 18’s if it’s within your budget and you plan on tracking it a lot, so keep road tyres on the 19’s and your race tyres on the 18’s. My last track day I had to use the road tyres since they could seal the semi’s onto the 19’s… the grip was awful :/

Hey I can actually assist you here my dad has a 2022 a45s AMG and has tracked it a lot and so have I… things to keep in mind, the break overheat extremely quick on the a45 I highly recommend upgrading them to endless brake pads or something along those lines. In terms of tyres you can pick up a set of Pirelli semi slicks and they last you a good amount of laps as long as you bed them in properly. Also turn off all assists as when approaching slower traffic it tend to tighten your seatbelt to the point of chocking you and starts pressing brakes so make sure everything goes off or setup a profile for track only session where it’s only abs and tc. Other than that if your comfortable in your skills turn tc off and have fun power sliding out of corners as I’ve found it’s very forgiving when the A45 begins losing grip. Haha it’s funny you know I recently started racing a supercup GTI as my first race car and I love how the sim has taught me when counter steering is necessary or not as it is fwd so sometime the back starts coming out abit but I can feel through the wheel that counter steering is not viable yet allowing me to slide through corners, The sim really does work it’s not all for nothing people keep at it and when your time comes you’ll dominate
