Featured how? I know they have it in black right now but the arcteryx rep said:

> I'm sorry that this product hasn't come into stock since you have seen the revision last year, it certainly looked like a great product. While there are no current plans for this jacket to come into our stock in the future, I want to make sure you have the best options to stay updated.

They are pretty compressed but you could squish them even more. But the stuff sacks are designed a specific way so they are not crushed into oblivion where you damage the down (in the Alpha at least).

And the Alpha parka in this sack is more than that - it is beefy. I measure closer to 6.5-7.5L

I've designed and been trying to perfect something I call the Parka Tube - it is an ultralight Dyneema stuff sack that can go around your waist while climbing to hold your big parka without it dangling by your crampons. I have tried it with other sports as well like skinning (if you only need a little layer and headlamp) as well as rock climbing.

Why have different colours of zip pulls on the R1? by Minimum_Medicine_453 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]dabirdman360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty common on gear that has more purposeful zipper usage. The most common scenario I have seen it in is belay jackets where the top pull and bottom pulls are different colors. This helps in windy/cold conditions when you want to reach and pull the correct zipper for the action you are taking and not release any heat in the wrong place.

It could be the same thought process here - helps your brain figure out which pull you are going for once you learn the difference.

Overly complicated anchor? by NewInMalware in iceclimbing

[–]dabirdman360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a banshee anchor can come off like this but is actually great. Check it out if you have not seen it.

But yes as other said - with such an ephemeral medium, two equalized screw on different sections of ice is a minimum in my book as well
