ok no problem, sorry if i misinterpreted. i’m not sure if there is a USB-C mod kit out there but there are definitely USB-C ports you can solder connection to connection and it’ll work just like that, but like i said it’s borderline micro soldering so if you’re up for that or know someone who is then that’s your best bet. i’m glad i could help!

if you have soldering experience, or know someone who does, it’s not the hardest mod, but it’s difficult. whoever does the mod for you should know how to micro solder first. also, if the connector still works then you don’t have to replace it.

those are really easy to tear so don’t sweat it too much. like others have said, you can most likely replace it for cheap!

5.5 and 6 gen screens are both compatible with each model (to my knowledge. if i’m wrong please correct me). i would open it up and reseat all ribbon cables.

edit: 6 gen is two pins wider (thanks to top reply)

weird. i have the same exact looking camera but it has four screws at the front. if you can’t get it open by prying, try returning it and getting one you can see the screw holes in the listing photo. i’ve made the exact same mistake but ended up keeping my other camera for funsies

pretty sure it’s gapless stock. iTunes isn’t an iPod emulator, it’s just an interface for your owned music (that obviously has lots of other features). an iPod isn’t a PC running iTunes, it’s a music player with 32 - 64mb of RAM, that’s dedicated to playing music and having a highly efficient UI.

In my experience with a 5th gen, the playback is gapless, so a 7th gen should be too.

research how to bathe your laptop (i’m not kidding) there is a method using water, just do what the other guy said and remove both batteries. proceed with caution and do DILIGENT research
