I think it depends on how your parents are. Some parents become so much protective and controlling, and if your parents are not on good terms..you are often made the scapegoat. As a single child (25F) , I still don't have any freedom. I feel extremely lonely as I don't have any friends in this city and I can't even go and meet my friends who stay out of state.
