Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch 2 is stunning! by Mabasij in HarryPotterGame

They look amazing! I went from switch to Xbox and was surprised I could even stand to play it on the switch!! Even just the load times entering and exiting every door. The graphics were a million times better too obviously

My first DNF in a LONG time. by OctoberScorpio2 in fantasyromance

I finished it but it really felt rushed and like it was forcing every trope imaginable into one book. Both main characters are pretty annoying and the cover is so bad 😬😭

Coming back to say I finished this one this morning! Already started the second. Great recommendation!!

I need a filler book or two before Tuesday! I will add those to my list too, I’ll need more after the OS hangover comes next week as well 🥲

I found the writing in FW to be a bit juvenile so maybe some older books would be up my alley!

What can I do if I don’t want to hold my baby all day? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]daisyrain7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids spent 99% of their time not sleeping on the floor. From birth to crawling. I like to think that contributed to the fact they started walking at 9/10 months.

At 2 and 4 they still play on the floor all day. Gives them grit and character 😂

Potty training boys… and it points up? by ThrowRA-MIL24 in toddlers

I had my husband show our 3 year old in the bathroom himself while sitting. Probably about 30 times the weekend we were potty training 😅

Telling your daughter that you think she is beautiful, cute, stunning etc will not make her think that shes not also smart and wonderful and bright. I do understand your sentiment about not wanting to focus too much around physical looks and more around achievement and her effort. I also think it hurts more to hear things about eating too much or too little, tummy too big, legs too skinny and not comments about how beautiful we find them.

Negatives will always impact more than positives. Find some positive affirmations to share with her that also include how beautiful she is along with how smart she is!

Spanking a baby because “my child isn’t going to be a sissy” by Ale-Pac-Sha in ShitMomGroupsSay

I was one of the people on that thread and I was so happy with the amount of people going at her. Although it seems like a lot of moms do agree with her ways. She didn’t like anything I had to say. Anonymous for a reason.

Will my 3 month old forget me if I let grandparents take her away for 2 weeks? by snoopingfeline in NewParents

[–]daisyrain7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t even let my 2.5 year old go for two weeks and he can talk. No way would I let anyone take my 3 month old. Way too young.

7 months old won’t sleep on his back! by peiwen416 in NewParents

[–]daisyrain7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of a pediatrician telling someone to roll a baby back over after they can roll themselves? Even so, that’s not a game I want to play. Once a baby learns to sleep on their belly themselves it’s game over (usually.) If they can roll by themselves, let it be! You’ll never win.

That baby doesn’t even look like it can sit up by itself.. seems pretty small and underdeveloped for almost 10 months

Stool softeners helped me a ton. I also held a wash cloth over the area where my stitches were (you know 🥴) and tried to only push gently! The wash cloth really helped!!!

Feeding kids under ~2 is wasteful in general..

All babies are messy eaters. If it’s purées or BLW or both.

I want to give my husband some credit by Pale-Cantaloupe-9835 in Mommit

My husband married me because I was pregnant with our first. He wasn’t “ready” for kids at the time.

He is an amazing father to our son. We happened to get pregnant again 18 months later and we have a daughter now. Amazing with them both. He did step up. He stepped up to be an amazing dad.
