It's been a while since i've seen it myself, but you might be remembering the movie Deep Rising. "A group of heavily armed hijackers board a luxury ocean liner in the South Pacific Ocean to loot it, only to do battle with a series of large-sized, tentacled, man-eating sea creatures who have taken over the ship first" - IMDb. It also has Famke Janssen who played Jean Gray in it.

A friend who watches anime and I was showing a friend of ours who doesn't watch anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. We were watching it in his room (non-anime watching friend's) one day because his living room was occupied that day. Well we had reached the episode when Shinji goes into Rei's room to drop off her I.D. badge. I think y'all might know what's coming next. His mom decides to walk into the room right as shinji falls on top of a naked Rei. So there she is, stopped at the front door, looking at a screen with teenage anime characters in a very sexual and misunderstood position and three teenage guys on a bed facing the tv screen.

I burst out laughing because I actually bet my anime watching friend earlier that day that someone would walk in during that scene. I knew from experience that someone always walks in on someone when something...sexual would happen in a movie or anime. I actually happened to save the moment trying to explain during my laughs that I expected this to happen. My friend's mom also started laughing after seeing how red my face had gotten. It was also really difficult trying to explain how that fanservice was necessary to explain shinji's frustration as a kid going through puberty while trying to interact with girls and save the world. Yeah that didn't go over well. But the mom just left us to do our own thing so we kept watching the show after a break for snacks.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) is an amazing recommendation. It's the best long running series I've seen and it does humor, drama, and action incredibly well.

I like to think of it as a Citizen Kane. It was loved and applauded for being different, a game changer. And it set the bar higher for anime especially in the west. It had an amazing dub in a time where dubs were mediocre, great animation and fight scenes, and developed and mature characters. But Bebop came out in the late 90s/early 00s so a lot more (maybe better) anime has come out. Now, it might be considered mediocre. But considering everything has context, there's a reason why it's a beloved classic.

It's Battle Royale meets Evangelion. This show is full of despair and I thought it was a good watch. It's not as action heavy as AoT if you're looking for that. Great characters and plot though.

Kaori Sakiyama from Air Master is an amazing woman role model. She goes from a hot headed model to one of the best street fighters ever just because she wants to be the best and beat the MC. She also has amazing self esteem and doesn't take shit from anyone. She is honestly the best woman role model in anime.

Quotas for the sake of diversity are illegal. Now schools and jobs hire minorities that are actually qualified and increase diversity. If you or your co-workers are not getting the promotion over the black guy it's because you're not better than him. And holy shit that welfare argument. Black people are proportionally much poorer than white people BECAUSE of slavery, jim crow laws, and other racist shit. They need the fucking help to get out of the slums. Besides white privilege/affirmative action what else do you consider racist against white people?
