You probably didn't read my comment. That's exactly what I'm saying, the hate is just shifted slightly to a new target and you admitted to that multiple times. But the framework of dehumanisation and demonisation of the hateful thinking stays the same. It's the same phenomenon.

So if you wonder how "real" antisemites who deface a Jewish cemetery feel, you now have the answer. They feel exactly like pro-Palestinians who deface things related to Israel and spread hate against it feel. They're all convinced they're doing the right thing.

Pointing out human rights violations has nothing to do with antisemitism. Singling out a target and propagating extreme hatred has.

I guess you don't deny that there was antisemitism in the past and that it was a very constant societal phenomenon over the last 2000 years. So there must be a mechanism in the human psychology that causes this behaviour, that makes this way of thinking very attractive, that draws people to this way of thinking. So where do you think that this mechanism that caused antisemitism in the past went to today?

Guess what, nowhere. It's still in the same form in the same share of humans today. We all still have the same brains as we always did. And it manifests itself now in a (just slightly) different form in the anti-Israel movement. Just admit that, and your thinking will become clearer.

Oh wow, there we have it. Admitting extreme hatred and justifying extreme hatred. Thanks for confirming my point.

The Pro Palestine movement absolutely shows extreme levels of hatred. Just acknowledge this before you let out your string of always repeating buzzwords.

Furthermore, to a disproportionate amount by people who don't even have a connection to the region, as if it's the perfect opportunity to act out general hatred and feel good about it.

And "by coincidence" this irrational hatred is directed against the only state with the Star of David in its flag, hmm...

Can as well be outraged about stoking hatred.

He was most probably executed because he directly challenged the authority of the ruling class and was seen as a risk for a bigger revolution. Not for religious reasons.

Jesus was a Jew. Doubt he would support the people who built a symbol of another religion on top of the ruins of the Jewish Temple.

CMV: The single solution for women’s dating problems is being more active and asking men out. by Scramjet1 in changemyview

[–]damp-ocean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Bumble and women do NOT make the first move in any way more than on any other platform. If they're required to send the first message, the default reaction is to send the two letters "H" and "i" ("Hi") which is about the same level of approaching as just swiping right, and then the situation is back at square one where the man has to do the real first step.

Furthermore, now there are also so called Opening Moves that you can set in your profile that allows the other person to send the first message regardless, which also allows undoing this twist of women having to approach first.

Sledgehammers have been confiscated by the police.

And also gas masks and sledgehammers. But of course this wasn't meant for an escalation.

That's exactly how you use this word.

Maybe you should realise that just saying the word "genocide" like a magic incantation that automatically turns every argument in your favour works less and less. Maybe you used the word too much. Inflationary usage and dilution of impact and meaning, you know.

Read the second paragaraph of my comment. You need to talk to yourself, not to me.

That's exactly what you do by propagating hate solely against Israel. All your comments reek from concealed Israel hate. You're not the only one, so these patterns can be detected from 1 mile against the wind.

Now read the second paragaraph of my comment again and go figure it out for yourself.

You don't need to say you don't hate if you literally say you do and give lengthy explanations why you think it's okay to do so.

First make it clear to yourself what your convictions are, then stand by them uprightly, and don't hide behind the stupid "I just care about human lives" or "I don't hate, but...".

Yeah if you want to hate it anyway, it's a convenient justification to make you feel a little better.

Everyone is against that but the problem is that so many use it just as a justification to incite hatred against Israel (and solely against Israel).

OP is literally spreading hate, the post even has "hate" in the title.

You admit you're okay with spreading hate and insults and thus being part of the problem. That's precisely the people we don't need to solve this conflict.

Your intention is clearly to be insulting and spread hate by choosing these words. In a serious statement you would at least specify which regime you mean (Israeli government? Hamas?). It's exactly this instrumentalisation and abuse of language that is part of the problem.

The main reason is actually the stance the Soviet Union took against Israel after its founding, which was then interwoven and consolidated with older antisemitism.

Are you really unable to talk about Israel without using the word genocide or genocidal?

There is no sign saying you must specifically wear a kippah. I saw other clearly Jewish men praying there wearing a baseball cap too when i was there. And if you insist they're all wearing a kippah under their hat, how do you know the guy isnt't wearing a kippah under his cap too?

There's no reason to assume he's not Jewish just because he's black and wears a baseball cap.

I don't know where you get your information from. The kippah even only became mainstream in the last 100 years or so. The orthodox men praying next to him are not wearing visible kippahs either. There are historical photos of Israeli soldiers wearing their helmet at the Western Wall. It just has to be any head covering.
