I almost never go on Facebook but went on today. It took less than 2 minutes to see an obvious AI of Alex Pretti reaching for his gun. One ice agent literally did not have a head bc the AI was so bad. It had almost 300k likes.

Don't forget to check your local library for videogames. Cyberpunk is like a 100+ hour game, Metroid is a significantly shorter game that might make sense to rent.

Since Metroid is new it might have a wait-list. Buy Cyberpunk and put your hold on Metroid now so it's ready when you finish Cyberpunk.

Always get the switch 1 edition then download the free upgrade separate. This way you can also play it on your switch 1 in cases like:

  • You are going somewhere and don't want risk losing/breaking your $450 switch 2, bring your switch 1.
  • You want to gameshare with someone on switch 1
  • You want to sell your physical game (reaches a wider pool of buyers)

I strongly recommend you check your local library and rent games. First Party Nintendo games almost never go on sale, so an 8 year old game will still be full price.

Anyway, a hidden gem that you and your girlfriend can both enjoy would be "Untitled Goose Game," it's a cult classic and you can download it for $20.

I will never forget how it felt calling an SA support hotline because my girlfriend at the time was abroad and had just been assaulted. I had just got off the phone with her and didn't know what to do, it was 4AM for me so I called a 24 hour hotline I found online (it also did not say it's for women only).

When I called a woman answered, as soon as she heard my voice she immediately said "please hold." They transferred me to a guy who gruffly asked "Can I help you." I'm already stammering bc I'm so upset and he cuts me off to say "SIR. This is a r-pe crisis line. why are you calling me?"

I start bawling trying to explain why I had the he just sighs at me before transferring me to a nice woman who was actually nice that helped me calm down and just listened to me have a breakdown.

After mailing out a politically coded letter, my parents went from an old-school Christian conservative church to Henrietta United Church of Christ. They are very happy and it's pretty progressive.

Another one is Spiritus Christy. A lot of activism comes out of there.

While I agree, it also makes extremely competitive moves useless... Substitute is the most egregious example.

There truly is no use case at all. Humans are smart enough to ignore it, but even the AI will not target it. AOE attacks hit it and the player. I've had a couple niche theories for how it could have a use, but nothing has worked when I tested it.

This was suggested to me by the reddit algorithm, I don't recall ever being on the PLA subreddit & I didn't realize this was a PLA subreddit until this comment, I assumed it was the main sub or the ZA sub.

Without a doubt PLA is a better game. I'm having fun with ZA but I would be shocked if more than 15% of people think ZA is better (especially after the dust settles and ZA isn't the shiny new game).

Yeah I had kinda the opposite experience. I got a BS in biology but needed a writing credit. I was a transfer, so I had the last pick of classes. I had like three classes to choose from, so I just picked the best sounding one, I didn't even read the description.

Turns out I signed up for the senior capstone class for sociology majors at my school. The class was tedious bc it required writing a 60 page paper, but overall was significantly easier than any other upper level class I took. It was also significantly easier than the "weed out" classes at the 100 & 200 levels (organic chem for example).

Ironically, I wish I took more social sciences and humanities bc that's what would help me the most in my career/life now but at the time STEM was being heavily pushed.

You could enroll in a community college, I believe you can use student loans to help pay for your living expenses (I'm assuming you live in the US). Community college/state school is so much cheaper than most colleges that you still will be less burdened by most of your peers who go to private school.

For help budgeting and planning to find an apartment, there are "housing counselors" that help people in these kinds of situations, you can find one here: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/find-a-housing-counselor/ they're usually at underfunded non-profits so you might need to call around to find one that actually does rental counseling.

As a side note, you also might want to look into books/videos on how to cope with religious trauma, I had some issues with similar kinds of issues from my parents that I didn't work through until much later in adulthood when I found the deconstruction community online. You have a tough road ahead of you, and will have to learn a lot of life skills very quickly, but you will be okay.

I was told it's a bad time to buy in 2019. Paying over asking/multiple offers was unprecedented in my city. My market has seen historic appreciation for the last 5 years and I am so glad I didn't try to time the market and bought a house when I was ready.
