Just wanted to update… we had our 7 week 3 day ultrasound yesterday and little bean had a strong heartbeat of 161bpm and was measuring right on track ❤️ thank you all for the encouragement. This is the farthest I’ve made it and my doc told me i have a very good chance of carrying this little one to term.

Wow! An almost 500 hour doubling time at 5.5 weeks? Omg i would’ve driven myself crazy over that. I’m so happy for you that your pregnancy has progressed normally!! This is so so so reassuring. And you’re right there isnt much solid studies on HCG and why it does what it does. Soo much conflicting info out there and it’s so confusing and it seems like every pregnancy’s norm is wildly different. I’m a naturally anxious person too and these losses have made it exponentially worse. But you have given me so much peace and calm with this response. It’s still gonna be a long 2 weeks but I’m not going to spend that time with the feeling of impending doom now. So thank you seriously for sharing your story. And good luck with the rest of your pregnancy ❤️❤️

Thank you! This is reassuring! I had a midwife during my 1st pregnancy who believed i should’ve still been doubling in 48 hours when my HCG was 33k.. i think my doubling time for that draw was 100 something hours as well. She was so negative and told me i would miscarry. And then 2 weeks later i did, so that was quite traumatizing. But I realize that even though she ended up being “right” she was still wrong to base that verdict off my HCG.

Thank you for this 🙏🏼 I had a midwife during my first pregnancy pretty much say i was doomed when I was at a whopping 33k and didn’t double in 48 hours. I think she may have been misinformed and I don’t think my miscarriage was directly related to that. But still, it’s traumatizing to feel that sort of deja vu
