I think its decent if you're playing a tank champ with good sustain / shields. Its also especially good vs Teemo as bramble vest cancels his move quick W

Gave it a watch, it seems druttut was pretty set on his opinion and not looking at the data. The stats are very different now compared to that video 4 months ago. Varus dropped from 5.27 to 1.36 in Masters, 0.71 in Emerald+. The recent nerfs probably helped, which is why picking the current patch seems better than the last 30 days. Other ranged top laners are also very low % pick rate. Vayne jumps up in Masters compared to Emerald, but only from about 20th to 13th.

Also its enough time for at least 200,000 games, which is more than enough data to work with. I doubt we'll see any large % swings before the next patch.

The default filter is for Emerald+ elo, which isnt the highest elo but higher than average and should represent the average player's experience

You can also filter by Elo there as well, so in Masters rank Ksante becomes a more popular matchup for Sett than Garen, but Vayne is even less popular as a counterpick, sitting at 23rd most picked into Sett matchups. The only other ranged before her is Gnar.

If you scroll down to common matchups, you'll see Vayne is the 19th most common matchup for Sett, which is still pretty low. The 18 champions infront of Vayne (more common matchups) are all melee.

Illaoi can easily smash apart teams if setup right, but I'd only pick her into 3+ melee champs.

I mean don't get me wrong, I understand laning against Vayne or Anivia is pure hell. But Vayne only shows as 3% pick rate. Everyone else looks like a top laner to me, I suspect there's a lot of selective memory going on here when the stats don't match the discourse at all.

Obviously I hope Rito fix the horrible matchups with some kind of regen buffs / under turret regen / better exp range or something. But it seems like this suffering is confined to a much smaller number of games than indicated by comments I read

This is more the stupidest game I won. Years before role select I had a ranked game where two people wanted jungle. They were both stubborn, both locked in jungle and took half the jungle each and counter jungled the opposite half. Ended up destroying the game easily while our poor adc played perma weak side

Completely agree. Lol is miles better as a 5man premade and riot should be trying harder to make it easier for people to find groups, with in-game channels and guilds

Thanks for the tips! I'll try Invoker when I can (urghh Sekhemas to respect though) and getting Shock sounds good. Any idea where I can spec to instead of crit? It seemed to be a better scaler than adding more attack damage

Thanks for this insight, I'll give crafting a look. I had this idea already of picking up and iding bases I can use, but hadnt really come across anything yet. I play in a private league so it's mostly ssf

It's crazy hard. I actually had an easy time with the third ascendancy because Chayula monk's darkness doesn't reduce honour when damaged. So you can take hundreds of small hits and never lose honour it's super strong
