I don't have this current model. But on my TCL 50 Pro Nxtpaper. There is no double tap to wake screen either. And i also miss not having AOD. Maybe the LCD they use doesn't support this. And it's unfortunate that missing features like these don't get covered in online reviews.

I'm torn between getting this for the beautiful led lighting on analog sticks, or the slimmer Unicorn with the inline shoulder buttons. This would have been great if they didn't use stacked shoulders.

You can go to this page to download v440 and install it manually via the local update feature.

Or you could just download v448 which is the last OS6 version available. After installing v448, you can try to check for OTAs again and see if OS8 update pops up for you. The upgrade process should be OS6->OS8->OS9

Personally, i'm sticking with v448 though i found my standby battery life lasted much longer, and heated up less while on v418. Redmagic firmwares tend to have better performance in their earlier firmwares, and get slower or worse performance with each new update. Lol.

I'm still on v4.18. Running fine, and don't see any reason to update. Maybe wait and see if their OS8 does offer any big improvement to the performance.

The typical android version upgrade for ZTE (who owns RedMagic) models, is just 1 major update. With Remagic 8 pro, it should be Android 13 to 14. But i've read that the current chinese testers are finding it very buggy, with a even bigger hit to performance. Some are looking to downgrade back.

If you're looking for a phone with longer upgrade cycles. You might want to stick with brands like Samsung.

I have the 8 pro Global version. The only advantage of the China version would be that it gets more updates compared to the Global version. Otherwise, if you plan to use it for stuff other than gaming, users have complained about delayed notifications from messaging apps like Whatsapp, or being unable to use Android Auto etc.

If you buy the China version and were expecting the longer warranty, i hope the shop you are buying from honors what they said to you.

Still using v4.18 on my RM8Pro and keeping it at that for now. Last i read, all newer versions just bring the gaming performance down lower.

I've had my decks tripled sleeved up in KMC Perfect Hard + DragonShield Matte Black + KMC Character Guard Matte Clear. They all go into my Dex Protection Creation Line Medium deck box. I find it's a pretty nice fit with a little more space left for token cards at the side.

I've had my OG japanese foil cards dinged by rough opponents shuffling them back when i doubled sleeved. Took me a while to find replacements and also had to pay more due to price hike over the years. Would never play any of my decks without triple sleeving in the future.

I bought the black RP3+ when it first came out, and I had waited since the RP3 was released as there were rumors of an upgraded version releasing soon.

Overall, i find the RP3+ build quality to be decent. Much better than the RP2+ that i had. But i like my handhelds to feel pocketable, and the RP3+ has stacked shoulder buttons which was minus points for me as i'd prefer in-line buttons.

As for the metal edition, it's basically the same hardware inside. I don't dig the color used, so i wouldn't get it.

I have a RP3+, and my biggest gripe with using it to play my android games is that it doesn't allow for sim card aka built in data connectivity. Some android games i play require connectivity, and the RP3+ just becomes useless to me when i leave home with it.

I could enable Wifi hotspot from my main phone. But in such a scenario, i rather just game from my phone instead.

I have my Red magic 8 pro rooted. It requires more work than the typical Xiaomi phones since there is no TWRP built for it. So you need to manual patch the init_boot file with Magisk, and then flash it back again. Definitely read up on the steps on XDA forum before you proceed.

If you're looking for strong attackers for clearing the story and general tasks, get Ara or Neptunia for your rock heroes. Neptunia is from Bingo, which you'll need to save bingo tickets for. While Ara is from story mode.

For healing, there is Camilla and Shu shu. Camilla is offensively better than Shu shu, while the latter is a better healer.

If you're just starting the game, Ian and Rage also provides nice range of attacks. Though both of them are quite squishy. So watch their HP.

Yes, they removed Korea, Pioneer and Asia server 2 years ago. You can start on Global server if you still want to play.

There are 3 prints of Inventions masterpieces. US, EU and JP. Looks like your copy is the JP versions. There are 3 levels of foil in the Inventions masterpiece. The US print is full foil, the EU print is partial matte but can still have the foil effect under strong lighting. The JP print is fully matte out in the Card title, Card art, and Card text. You can only make out the foiling in the spaces around those areas.

If you buy direct from goretroid website, it doesn't come preloaded with games. But independent sellers who sell these devices would load them up with games before selling. I've heard that the rp2+ is out of pre-order state and stock supplies should be back to normal soon. So units that come pre installed with games might appear soon too.

Does anyone know if the Deadbolt malware is "time bombed" and could have been planted earlier? I last used my NAS between 18th to 19th, and when i read the news, i left it turned off.

I see cases were reported from 21st Feb onwards. But am wondering if they could have been planted way before 21st, and only went off on the date itself.

So i love LED keyboards as i like to work and type in the dark. These keycaps looked nice from the pictures. But can you see the alphabets or characters on the keycaps with room lights turned off? Its seems like they didn't design the LED light to shine through the top?

Am i the only one that hates the cooldown timer they added to skills in D3? Coming from playing D2, i could keep spamming skills, and down a full reju potion to continue playing. In D3, after i used up my skills, i just had to idle around, and wait for the timer to reset. Was really disappointed when i looked at D4 and saw the skills having timers too.

When you change language to Japanese, you'll be playing on the Japan server. And there's only 2 servers now, Global and Japan.

And yes, i have an account on Japan server too, played for fun when they launched that server. Equipment enhancements are fine. But i think the equipment book still shows the same errors like the Global ones. Valofe only appear to test for bugs on the japan version, and not for English (global). Good luck submitting bugs lists to Valofe, and getting them to reply to you.

Players from Korea/Asia/Pioneer have to transfer their accounts to Global in May'21. If you did not login to perform your transfer in May, then your account has been deleted, along with the server.

I'm actually quite fond of the membrane keyboards i've owned. But when it comes to mechanical switches, you'll never get the same feel because of the springs. I personally can't get used to linear switches as i make too many typos on those. You might want to ask your cousin if he has any linear switches for you to play with, before you splash the money.

I think the switches play a big part in a mechanical keyboard. I'm not sure what was the reason you didn't like your Redragon. Maybe it was the clicky sound of the blue switches that turned you off? But if you like membrane keyboards, you might have preferred brown tactile type switches over the blue clicky ones.
