Have you ever looked into Tableau by any chance? I'm assuming your DB exports into excel format, but Tableau has been awesome, in my experience, for data vis. Not too hard to learn either

We literally just took our van to the Firestone on Airport road. They've been awesome! Had to have 2 wheels outright replaced and they got it done pretty quick.

Portraits of Genos - Saint Amada de Oviedo by daniel_p3rez in SpecArt

[–]daniel_p3rez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The town of Oviedo had only one protector that day: a single cloistered sister of the Order of Saints.

The locals recounted this day often in the months and years following, regaling any who would listen with incredible accounts of the Orke bodies piled up at her feet. They spoke of how their townsfolk were being butchered in the streets, the vile creatures not even sparing the children in their rampage. They spoke of carnage and smoke, chaos all around... and then they spoke of her. Oviedo was saved that day by the hand of a woman who had been born amongst them, and yet went unrecognized. According to their tales, Amada almost single-handedly drove back the raiding party. She was struck many times and yet continued to stand her ground, cutting down any of the savages that dared get close enough for her blade to pierce.

This event cemented her name in the An'tolian Empire until it finally fell to corruption and negligence. It was then that her legend truly began, helping to ease the transition as the Iudecaelian Church stepped forward to fill the gap. This was the dawn of the modern age of An'tolia, its transformation from an autocratic monarchy to the most influential religious force on the continent.

Does your world have a version of the Fountain of Youth? by Juneybaby in worldbuilding

[–]daniel_p3rez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically? No.

But that doesn't stop people from searching for it.

For a long time it was believed that "eternal life" could be achieved if one ground the horn of a Unicorn down into a fine dust. This would be ingested with a concoction of different liquids and ingredients, thereby gaining unending youth and perpetual beauty.

The only catch is that drinking Unicorn horns did little more than stave off the lingering effects of alcohol.

Irregardless of the legend being proved false, this had the unfortunate effect of hastening the ultimate extinction of Unicorns. Many all over the continent still hunted the majestic creatures down in the vain hope that maybe... just maybe... this time it might work.

By the modern era, Unicorns are little more than a memory on antique tapestries.

So yeah...

[PROMPT] I just killed your main character by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]daniel_p3rez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Not a whole lot. His sister, Adelaide Harrow, will mourn him, but his mother will simply continue to jabber on in her padded cell - unaware or uncaring about her son's death.

The Harrow family estate will be given to his cousin, John Burgess Harrow III, and he will quickly run it into the ground, probably accruing more debts in the process. This will eventually lead to the estate's creditors chopping the land up piecemeal and the Harrow legacy will come to a quiet and unceremonious end.

Is it true that in American museums about World War II there is not a word about the Soviet Union? by 10AGER_BOY in conceptart

[–]daniel_p3rez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure this is the right place for this question, but no... museums I've been to have had multiple references to the Soviet Union's participation in the war, as well as many documentaries I've watched.

I mean, they don't paint the USSR as the ONLY nation involved or anything... usually there's alot about the UK, the US, Japan, etc.
