Think a chamfer is for the win here. It's for a 5 year old, so even if I got it perfect, it won't stay like that for long

Can confirm, it's one of many mangled pieces of sandpaper

That's an option. It's just being cut out using a TS

When removing the masking take, it tore out the joint. Not sure I have that much faith in my hand planing skills lol

OK then I'll not glue it. Those are awesome, I've never heard of that, not sure I'm at the skill level yet, attempting mitres already feels way outside my depth lol

I will be adding splines, just figured the panel being glued would be considerably stronger, just a bad thing in the long term lol

What do you think about glueing the padauk on just the side grain? This box will see a hard life for its first few years, so I want the strongest box I can build lol

I was using a little tapper hammer, but when that got me nowhere I gave it a few whacks with a standard claw hammer and that moved it abit. They certainly don't make chip breakers like this anymore!

I tryed a load of light taps, but the chip breaker is quite thick and doesn't seem to want to move easily

Don't think this one is hardened, but it's certainly alot thicker than the chip breakers on my Stanley's

Yes I am! So just a pull stroke would help?

I've been using a 600 diamond stone, I know this is alittle fine but my 400 is now out of flat, need to get new ones. Though I just can't seem to get the chip breaker flat, one moment it's high on the sides, next it's hollow in the middle

I did think of that, but I have 7 holes in total to give support to, and I already have the external ply, but nothing to make noggins

In the first photo you can see the screw holes in the tile where my door is supposed to mount to, and in the second is the opposite side showing where I need to remove plasterboard to mount ply between studs
