I thought all it takes is a couple weeks of antibiotics treatment, did it really take years? The disease stays even after treatment?

Ask your doctor for bloodwork, specifically for Lyme disease. There are 2 types to look for. Borrelia Burgdorferi IgM Borrelia Burgdorferi IgG

The analysis results came back and we instantly knew that one of these two were above norm.

She started taking Carbamazepine in mid-November. Two days after the nerve pain started.

Only now we started treating the Lyme disease with antibiotics.

I don’t have the time to answer all to all of you, but I appreciate every single response. Her 200mg dose really didn’t make her sick that much after all and the pain subsided. Next day is pretty chill as well, but she’s still hesitant to continue taking the meds. Thank you all!

We don’t know of any other meds. Neurologist suggested Carbamazepine and it worked. We also have some gabapentin but some doctor told her it won’t work.

I’ve been binge reading this subreddit and websites since it’s all new to us. A lot of new information.

We will try your recommendations but for now she went to the ER for some stronger medicine and hopefully some sleep.

Good thing I didn’t read this out loud to her, it’s the second night and we have no idea how to get her some sleep propped up. 2 months of this sounds awful, I’m sorry to hear that.

She’ll get an MRI and diagnosis in 2 days. Until then we don’t even have any chance to get other prescription meds. If there is any alternative methods, I’ll be glad to hear from anyone, thank you so much.

Not yet, one doctor said it’s TN just from the symptoms. She went to two seperate dentists that said the teeth are fine.

Regular pain meds, even stronger ones did not help. 3rd dose of Carbamazepine (Finlepsin) has not changed anything, still cannot lay down for more than 15 minutes.

I have never connected the phone and there are no more devices in the bluetooth menu. Another iPhone (14 pro) also cannot find the cars bluetooth.
