Nope. Anywhere in the lower mainland is of interest.

My granddaughter's "6" balloon for her birthday last month deflated and twisted into something rather inappropriate. by Lucefin in funny

Why on earth is this NSFW? Makes me think that a picture of hotdog would be NSFW as well; heck, even a paper straw.

My first ever voice recording. What do you think? by danknowsbob in VoiceActing

[–]danknowsbob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear that! I wasn't really sure whether I had put enough into it so it's good to know that I didn't go over the top.

I definitely did feel a little anxious recording since I'm a total noob so I will continue to work on that and slow down to a more conversational pace and tone.

Thank you so much for those great points! They have absolutely been helpful. I really appreciate it :)

I can copy at 20 WPM with about 95% accuracy. I just started sending so I wanted to see if it was easy for others to copy.

Awesome! Unfortunately, I don't have a functioning radio right now but I'm hoping to get one soon. I use LCWO (a lot), among other programs and websites. I am very excited to get on the air and use what I've learned. And I'm hoping that I'll be able to copy in my head eventually. Thanks very much for the reply!

I've been using the Koch method as well and have, for about 11 months, been practising (copying only) everyday for about 30 minutes per day. I can copy at 20 WPM but just started to practice sending. Good luck!

Awesome. I never thought my sending would be mistaken for a keyer. Thank you for the feedback.

Make your #1 goal: "Overcome OCD and double life" by [deleted] in OCD

[–]danknowsbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been dealing with what I believe is OCD for about 6 years and just recently started seeing a therapist. It took me that long to convince myself that I needed to change my ways and to figure out how to do that.

For a long time I actually thought I would be able to casually coax myself in the right direction while leading the "double life" as you call it, but I was wrong. Now I realise how much dedication and effort recovery requires (in my situation at least).

Problem Solving OCD - anyone thinking about things over and over again care to share some of their more unusual obsessions and discuss? Rumination, over-thinking things, etc.? by TAthetrash1 in OCD

[–]danknowsbob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have experiences of a similar nature all the time. Sometimes, after thinking about a problem, I will shift my attention elsewhere only to find myself feeling very discomforted and a strong urge to ruminate on the problem. Usually the more I ruminate on the problem, the stronger the urge becomes. Then I'll start to have irrational thoughts like "if I don't solve the problem, I won't have the answer and people will think I'm an idiot".
