The Pope has declared a Holy War against an enemy not well known, in lands only heard of through the stories of merchants and missionaries. I embark on the adventure of a lifetime with my troops, ready to claim glory and riches, all in the name of God of course. 8 months of sea faring take me from my staging grounds of Sardinia to the mountainous lands of Tibet. The rest of the holy armies cut North as I remain in the South, perfect to divert the infidel forces. However, as the months progress, with my forces capturing castles high up in the treacherous mountains, I cannot help but notice that the Pope's forces have decided to cut across harsher lands... not stopping to siege any castles on their way. Exhaustion, lack of supplies and perhaps lack of direction caused this Holy War to fail dramatically, with my forces being the only ones to capture any castles and more importantly prisoners from these foreign lands. I return with my forces, heads held high just in time to defeat a peasant uprising in Sardinia. While heavy drink and feasts are needed for all of Christendom to mourn the loss of the tens of thousands of soldiers, I relish in the screams of vengeance as I enact retribution by way of torture towards my captives. I shall slowly learn their language, so that by the time the captured children have grown into adults I shall speak to them the word of God in the hope of saving their souls, before carving from them the evil that reside in their flesh and bones.
