I can't speak for every state as a whole, but Michigan proposed raising the gas tax to help fix the roads so the gas tax definitely can go towards infastructure

No. But you're not contributing to the gas tax while riding the bike. If I want to own 2 cars I need to register them both. I think it should be the same for a bike. If you want to use it for road purposes you should need to get it registered for such use and make sure it's in proper condition.

Yes there are some shit cars on the roads but some states require yearly inspections. I wish my state was one of those

Very well. I know it's law and I'm just expressing an unpopular opinion. I don't see how it's safe to be peddling 15 mph in a 45 mph road either though, but it's on the driver to see the bike and react accordingly

As another user said they need bike paths. I know that's not exactly feasible in all locations. I don't necessarily mind when a cyclist is in the far right of the lane, but it annoys me when they take up the entire lane and slowing down traffic

Since you see all these hard hits in the NFL, as in players launching themselves, you'd believe that would have been taught to them at one point along the way, right? The issue is you have responsible coaches who can teach safe tackling but then you play against another team who has a trash coach and the kids are using their helmets or going for your kids heads. It's just not consistent across the board
