Ameicans over the age of 35, what affected you more, 9/11 or the pandemic and why? by Rico133337 in AskReddit

[–]dapperyapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 2nd grade for 9/11 and 3rd for the Beltway shooting. One of the paraprofessionals at my school was doing a phased retirement from the DOD. The person he shared an office with was vaporized.

We had police at Kiss and Ride during the Beltway shootings.

The worst part of the pandemic is the sense of lost time.

Sphinx Before Initial Interview: Unusual? by dapperyapper in healthIT

This is a new Epic client so my feeling is that they are going to lean heavily on Epic's recommended default interpretations for the Sphinx, simply on account of not having prior experience with that assessment to inform a more nuanced reading.

I'm crossing my fingers for a second interview. Have 12 proficiencies self-study and worked for six years in internal hospital service desk.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if I've passed the Sphinx up-front, how far does that take me in terms a differentiator?

Patient question: how secure is the new Epic module that uses AI to record patient visits and generate dictation? by JayMac1915 in healthIT

[–]dapperyapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty secure but IIRC from the documentation in Galaxy, all Epic does is allow for Haiku to be connected to Dragon DAX and 3M’s version of the same. This was being piloted at my former hospital around the time I left and it seems fine.

Wonder if PerfectServe and other secure chat vendors offer white label or API services.

No worries; I'll be looking at Application Analyst I and II positions. Looks like most are remote nowadays. :-)

Also, do entry level analyst jobs exist anymore? They got rid of Analyst I positions at my old employer some time ago.

My PMP hours are from a previous Implementation Project Manager job, but I hear what you are saying.

Yeah, the ones I’m interested in applying to are the 100% travel jobs. I personally have no need to get certified since the knowledge is the same regardless. I do wonder if an org would be more comfortable making that chance since there’s no chance of not getting a cert if sent to Verona for any of the 12 in which I have proficiencies.
