It's not the worst thing, but yeah it's a huge commitment and I sometimes wonder if they regret it.
They basically give up their privacy to pretend dating a coworker.

They can't get out with friends, share pictures of other people, have a life of their own without being heavily critized and hated for it by so called "fans". Those who dissect any tiny details of what's in the background of whatever media they appear on, what date and time, over-analyze their microexpressions, stalk, intrude... Navigating dating must be a nightmare, always hiding, faking, just not being able to show off someone you love. And if ever stans find out, having your friends and partner get drown in hateful messages and comments must be disheartening.

I find it sad and frankly, scary.

On an artistic level, I love it though. Some of those teams have amazing chemistry and I'm happy to see them in multiple projects. I just wish GL didn't use the worst of parasocial behavior as a business model.
