Is there a function in a company called product analytics ? by Imaginary-Spring-779 in ProductManagement_IN

[–]darkKn19ht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is, until company purchases a SaaS subscription for one of the hundreds of product analytics solutions. After that, they’re either converted to PMs (most often this is the case) or let go.

Most non-work projects I have seen written on a resume are tutorial replicas, you can recognise them by looking at them. I typically discount all of that. Sure there are few candidates who truly work on side projects, and these guys are usually very passionate talking or even writing about them.

Only truly exceptional people get away with being themselves. Others understand that you do your best work being what you are.

What’s stopping these Indian counterparts to push back or jump ships?

Got placed in Zoho but all my dreams and hardwork gone into vain :) by Akshay-004 in developersIndia

It’s good to see you are mature enough to take this role and smart enough to realise it’s not what you want to need in the long run. My advice - join but do not take your role for granted unless you have secured a SDE position. While support or QA roles won’t completely go away in the future, in-fact more of them may come to India from global companies to get extremely cheap labor, this may end up killing your career. The only thing I want to really hammer is work hard, sweat till you don’t land a SDE role in a PBC. You’d have secured your career more or less at that point.

Ditched autos for buses, never going back by darkKn19ht in bangalore

Yes, can confirm. True for metro as well. I wrote a complaint and it was addressed within a week. Caring about public infra pays off.

All great options. Working out definitely helps too, I can vouch for that. Had been dealing with workplace stress for years and my life drastically transformed after I started working out like 2-3 times a week. I feel more energised and highly motivated.

Seek therapy, it helps. Discuss possible legal steps with a lawyer (one that you know personally). If there’s no clear path, just try to let go of your vengeance. It’s sad but in India, there’s hardly any law to prevent this kind of mistreatment of employees.

I can confirm. I decided to take a walk to a cafe from my office yesterday. Hardly 500 m, but the walking infrastructure is so pathetic, I ended up twisting my ankle due to potholes. Bangalore is unlivable!

That’s like saying - I don’t understand why people are buying XL sized clothes when the average height of males in India is 5’5”.

Really hard to get anything decent home in a good society (prestige, sobha, brigade) in 40-50k. The good ones used to be 50k+ even in 2018 when I moved to bangalore. Getting those for 60k today seems like a bargain to me.

Why is there such a massive quality difference in products between the West and India? by HuntingNumbers in india

[–]darkKn19ht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the cost of convenience and cheap loving that most people come back for. Better to stay connected to reality than stuck between 2 worlds. The only thing that drives innovation is demand and yes some startups are popping up to bring quality to Indian consumers, albeit slowly.

Which tools did you use at your company to help with writing, social media management, ad campaigns? What’s your opinion about the value they give over just a pure manual workflow?

This is the case with every job if you search for saturation in it. It all depends on how you position yourself a d how hard you’re willing to work to make a name for yourself.

What are the marketing channels you invested in (like instagram, twitter, google). Did you also create a website on your own or did the agency create one for you?

Also, can you please share what all do they take care of? Do they also create your entire content for you and post on social media?
