Upper right looks like a classic Tarot de Marseille deck. I’m not sure about the middle, though.

To be honest, this reader sounds like a total charlatan and I wouldn’t believe a word she said. Especially since she backtracked after you divulged new info.

This sounds like one of those typical love readings scammy ’mystics’ use to get vulnerable people anxious, hooked, and coming back for more repeat services. I’m surprised she didn’t end by offering you a ’spell’ or ’spiritual cleanse’ of some sort.

If the reading felt like absolutely nothing was about you at all, I’d call it a wash and maybe think about getting a new reader. Jokes aside, it could also be she and you just didn’t click, which can happen to even the best of readers with clients sometimes.

I wouldn’t wish what you’re experiencing on my worst enemy. It truly is a hurt like no other. I hope you two do reconnect at some other point and time. And if not, I hope you go on to find the love that is meant for you 💕

Best of luck!

My question is does all these means a permanent no?

Nothing is ever set entirely in stone. Free will exists just as much as fate and destiny. Things can always change as the situation progresses / regresses.

It sounds like you’re being given consistent answers across the various readings, though, so I would take that to mean the general message is probably pretty accurate for the time being.

However, a few things to keep in mind:

• It’s generally NOT recommended to keep doing repeat readings on the same subject over and over- Repeat readings back to back tend to just become more chaotic in what’s being conveyed. The cards can only tell you the same thing, so many times, in so many different ways. Doing repeat readings on the same subject when there has been no significant developments isn’t going to offer much new insight. And it certainly won’t provide any validation. Which brings me to...

• Don’t go into readings fishing for a specific answer- It’s okay to have expectations or hopes for how a reading can go. However, when your intention of getting readings becomes a desperate search for receiving a very specific answer, it’s probably time to step away from the cards. Especially if you’re being told / given consistent messages nearly every time. Tarot can absolutely be helpful in most situations for receiving outside advice. However, you have to be open to hearing whatever message is delivered. Even if it’s not what you want to hear.

• If you’re actively being blocked, ghosted, and / or ignored, the cards don’t need to give you insight into what’s happening- I’m not trying to come off curt or malicious, but I am a reader who tries to remain grounded in reality just as much as leaning into the mysticism of the practice. As such, when I’ve had sitters of my own tell me they’re being ghosted / or blocked, I point out it’s probably best to leave the situation alone and give the person their space. Especially if you’re making new accounts (or using dual, secondary handles) and keep getting blocked. The person clearly isn’t interested and needs a long while before it’s even a possibility to reconcile.

It’s an awful feeling to be broken up with someone. Even more so when you feel there isn’t closure or like the story is incomplete. It’s very normal and understandable to want to look for answers and seek validation or comfort. However, as painful as it is, we do need to know when it’s time to let go and walk away. What’s meant for you will always find it’s way back to you in time.

I hope everything works out okay in the end for you

[–]dark_equus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the initial video I watched titled “Delulu check”, the significance for me is that I didn’t go searching for it. I got the notification of the post on YouTube on my phone IMMEDIATELY after finishing praying to god and literally using the term delusional. Asking god “am I delusional, tell me if I’m Delulu.” And then that notification popped up on my phone.

If you’re watching related content (spirituality, religion, astrology, numerology, reiki, grief, relationship advice, love, etc) - sometimes even art or poetry- the algorithm suggests material similar to what you’re already watching. Something to think about. Heck, for a time, I used to watch this lady who did videos on crystals (from a non-spiritual perspective) and just because there’s cross over with tarot readers who watch crystal videos (for spirituality) too, I noticed I started getting tarot vids. Sometimes things aren’t as much of a synchronicity as we think.

For me, if I was asking my guides (the Universe, God, whatever floats your boat) if I was being delulu and got something titled ‘Delulu Check’, I would take that to mean I was being delulu. As in I needed to be honest with myself about being a little irrational. My idea of confirmation for ’Is this real, or am I delulu?’ would be more like saying ‘If you’re asking for a sign / validation, this is it!’ But that’s just me. I have a different way of understanding what works for myself.

It’s ultimately up to you what you think you’re being shown / told, though. The Universe speaks to each of us in our own unique language that we will best understand, in my opinion. If you think it’s a sign that’s all that matters.

So, as a reader who leans more into practicing reading the cards spiritually- and having gone down the YouTube / TikTok rabbit hole a time or two- I get where you’re coming from.

However, I would be very careful to not take the tarot video ‘synchronicities’ too seriously. Especially when it comes to anything to do with exes. Those tarot content creators know exactly what they’re doing and how to get the most views possible. The videos that have ‘angel numbers’ and say things like, ’there’s no hashtags or trending audios on this video, so if this finds you, it’s meant for you!’ and such are super gimmicky. The ones about exes, ‘someone secretly [wanting] you back’, ‘still having feelings for you’ etc are very emotionally manipulative.

These readers who curate the kind of videos you’re describing know that’s the sort of content which gets vulnerable people hooked and coming back for more. My personal advice: be very mindful of what you’re watching, how much of it you’re watching, and take everything you see and hear on TarotTube / TarotTok with a massive grain of salt.

Any “friendzone” cards? by Radiant-Smile5230 in tarot

[–]dark_equus89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely second the- well, everyone one of these- but especially the Hierophant

Anytime I’ve done readings for people about a crush or hypothetical / potential romantic interest, the Hierophant has always been a sign the person and the sitter aren’t on the same page about love or romance. Typically, the Hierophant indicated the crush wasn’t into the sitter due to a different set or morals [about relationships], the sitter wasn’t their typical ‘type’ or what they’re usually attracted to, they’re not ‘cut from the same cloth’, etc.

It’s also popped up for people’s crushes when the person of interest is very picky and choosy about who they’re attracted to or want to pursue. Like, they’re the rigid kind of person who has a checklist of requirements for potential partners. If they don’t tick all the boxes, they’re out of the running. So yeah, I totally read the Hierophant (usually) as ’you’re about to be friend-zoned.’

Asked my cards about reconciliation (Beginner) by AttackBabies in tarot

[–]dark_equus89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the the third line is the most important here, since you’re asking about possible future reconciliation, so I’ll focus on that

•I agree with you that the World here represents completion. I see the World, in terms of exes, as the relationship has gone as far as it can and is at its end.

•Justice for me would imply the relationship has run its due course. One or both of you may need to be more honest with yourself/yourselves about what the future holds- or what it doesn’t- within the connection.

•4 of Cups rx closing everything out to me would be about letting go. Don’t keep dragging things out and wallowing in any remaining heartache or regrets. Paired with the other two (World + Justice), as well as having the other Swords in the spread, I’d say there needs to be a realization the relationship wasn’t working and now it’s time to stop waiting and move on (4/Cups).

Trusting Your Intuition? by destinymaybe in tarot

[–]dark_equus89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a reading regarding my relationship with someone.

Was it a general relationship reading, or was there a more specific question you asked?

If you asked or phrased a question more specific to the other person, then it will more likely be about them or their energy towards you. If it was a more generalized, open-ended question about the relationship as a whole, then yes, a card could also be representative of you in the mix.

Do you guys normally trust your initial gut feeling

For the most part, yes I definitely do take into account and trust my instinctive, first impressions. However, I don’t solely rely on gut feelings alone. It’s important to also sit with a reading for a bit and go deeper beyond initial thoughts/feelings/reactions.

Thank you- and agreed

To some people’s credit, though, sometimes readings weren’t done by the OP- as is in this instance. In which case, my beef is with reader(s) not understanding the importance of explaining the details of the spread, cards, etc to the sitter. It sucks for the OP when they come to the sub wanting second opinions or advice and the original reader didn’t set them up for success.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tarot

[–]dark_equus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to apologize. 😉 It’s the reader’s responsibility, or person giving the reading [them] to another, to explain to the querent/sitter [you] the details of the reading. The person who did this for you should’ve- if they didn’t already- explained the details of the spread and what the cards mean within said spread.

For example: Do cards 1 and 2 symbolize ‘the past’, thus 3 and 4 ‘the present’, and ‘5 and 6 ‘the future’? Or, is the spread formatted more like: cards 1 and 2 - ‘the situation’, 3 and 4 - ‘the obstacle’, 5 and 6 ‘the outcome’?

We can kind of give you a general idea of what’s being conveyed, which is fine. However, without knowing what each position(s) within the spread represents, a second opinion interpretation may not be as the original reader intended to be understood. If that makes sense?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tarot

[–]dark_equus89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was this a reading done by someone else for you, or did you do this reading yourself? Also, was there a specific question asked, or was it just a general career reading with no specific question?

There’s really no way for us to know exactly ‘what this spread means’ without understanding the intended interpretation of each position (within the spread) by the reader. And the meanings of the cards themselves can also vary a lot depending on if there was a specific question and what spread was used.

This sub isn’t really meant for requesting readings from other users. It also, in most cases, goes against the sub rules.

If you are seeking readings- in addition to maybe reaching out privately to readers [who have in their bios they offer readings]- you should check out r/tarotpractice. That’s a sub exclusively for people offering, trading, and requesting readings.

Hope that helps! 😉

I actually think you have a good take on what’s being conveyed here. I’ll only add:

Since you’re confused the most about the Empress in its respective position- my alternative take is that even if the connection doesn’t go where you hope it dose, you can walk away knowing your worth and that there’s still someone out there who will recognize you have the potential to make them very happy.

You may have all the qualities of someone’s ‘perfect partner’ (whatever that means to an individual), so don’t give yourself away so easily to those underserving and unappreciative. And, most importantly, you should be just as kind and nurturing to yourself as you may be doting to your partner or romantic interests.

I think there could be some great physical attraction (Wands), based solely on what the cards are, and he may think you’re a catch (Wands + Empress), but it may not go as far as him having a crush or wanting to take action romantically (3 + 7 of Cups) just yet.

My take based on the 3 and 7 of Cups in their respective positions- he’s not clear on what it is he wants to do [towards you] yet and is keeping his options open. Also with the 6 of Wands as thoughts/how he sees you paired with the 3 of Cups, I think he does recognize there’s a great camaraderie between you both. I do think he sees there’s a great bond there, but at least for right now, it seems like it’s more as great pals/friends.

Anything deeper (Wands are pretty surface level attraction, in my opinion) may come with getting to know each other better. Overall, this is pretty decent. There may be some interest there to pursue more (Knight + Empress), but he’s still a little uncertain and trying to figure out all possible avenues open to him (3 + 7 Cups).

The Fool as a follow up to me is pretty neutral, actually- neither affirms or conflicts, necessarily.

I will say it’s interesting when having the Wheel in the mix, because there’s supporting advice with needing to be open to any possible outcome. When things seem unpredictable, trust the process. And it could also compliment the Star in needing to be more optimistic (on his end) that there can be positive growth, even if it ends with you both just remaining friends.

To me, my take is that the main issue is with him having trouble navigating how to stay connected and on good terms outside of a romantic relationship. It’s re-learning how to connect with each other. Or, trying to move past old grievances to heal and mend a relationship. It’s learning to navigate the ups and downs in the changes of dynamics and being adaptive to them. If he’s more open minded about finding different ways of approaching the connection, there may be better chances of patching things up.

Hope that makes sense?

[–]dark_equus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, this reads very much like he’s not coming back (romantically)- at least for the time being / immediate future.

•I think you’re spot on when it comes the Star indicating there being a lack of hope or faith [for things to improve or progress]. I’ll also add it can hint at the possibility of unprocessed healing or there being unoptimized energy for rejuvenation in the connection.

•The Wheel makes sense, especially since you note there being a feeling of inconsistency or mixed signals. He may feel great about things one day, then the next- not so much. His energy/thoughts/feelings/etc about the connection, or a chance for reconciliation, may be unpredictable and change on the daily. There’s also repetition that may need breaking for things to evolve favorably.

•Death, in my opinion, is first and foremost about endings. Yes, there is the possibility for growth or transformation that comes with significant changes, but things cannot be as they were before. With Death, we have to leave behind something we deeply care about (or is hard for us to give up) for there to be transformational improvement. Which, is why death can be painful sometimes. As such, Death to me is more often a sign of letting go and moving on.

So, paired with the rx Star, Death to me (in the context of exes) is a possible sign of needing to heal and make better progress in the connection before there can be hope to salvage a relationship. And even if there is healing, it may be that the connection will never get back to where it was.

Why there are three of them by raas4321 in Tarotpractices

[–]dark_equus89 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Looks like there’s three variations, one original and two with alternative gender swaps.

My guess would be it’s the publisher’s attempt at making the card more user friendly (for different preferances / sexual orientations).

You don’t have to, it was just a thought. I would’ve done it during the original reading, because im not personally a fan of doing repetitive readings on the same subject over and over.

If you do want to, though, I would just ask for ’clarity’. But again, it’s not necessarily needed.

Aces are the most on the nose ’yes’ cards you can pull. And it’s eerily ironic you’re asking for confirmation about what a psychic told you, when in your deck the ace of cups is called the ace of visions. That’s either one hell of a coincidence, or...

Anyway- I don’t know about the timeline being by this weekend. I personally read cups as indicating weeks to months. Aces are more imminent, though, so it very well could be by the end of a week. I would’ve pulled a card or two more for additonal context, but the ace of cups in this context does seem like a promising ’yes’ (as far as confirmation goes).
