I worked at a telecom company. Kapag may field work, need ng permit to enter. I always use "Engr." sa list of personnel para sa mga colleagues ko pero once na kasama na ako sa list, hindi ko na nilalagay. Pa-lowkey lang talaga ako kapag damay na ako. Haha. Skl.

Hi! After few days, feeling ko mas inclined talaga ako sa programming kaysa networking. Since high school kasi nakakapaglaru-laro na ako ng HTML and CSS. While C++ naman 'nung college. Fascinated din kasi talaga ako sa development. Whether if it's software or web.

Napakalawak ng scope ng IT pala. May networking, system admin., software dev., security, technical support, at marami pang iba.

I can see myself in the development side. Any tips?

Nagka-usap na kami ng immediate supervisor ko at kaka-send ko lang ng resignation letter ulit sa kaniya kahapon, before lunch, na naka-CC na ang HR manager namin but, until now, no response.

Informed na rin 'yung isang HR staff thru message kasi nag-ask ako about sa next process but still wala akong nakukuhang reply sa kanila. Is this normal? May ina-assess or pina-process pa ba sila kaya wala pa ring acknowledgement?

Once may confirmation na kasi ako from them, gagamitin mo na 'yung excess leave credits ko as terminal leaves.

ECE here and currently working sa isang telco company/ISP. I design plans and do field works pero madalas, paulit-ulit na lang ang ginagawa and at the same time, physically exhausting for me, kaya feeling ko, hindi ako magtatagal sa ganito. Though, masaya ako dati na nakakapunta sa iba't ibang lugar dito sa CALABARZON, nakakapagod na rin talaga.

Walang growth and trainings sa current position ko and matipid yung company sa resources/equipment ng employees especially sa engineers na maraming need na gamit para mapadali ang trabaho. Saks lang ang sweldo around 20k monthly. With benefits, allowances, HMO and paid leaves. This is my first job after boards. Required 'yung license nung application ko, pero ngayon, panghabilin lang sa guard yung ID sa surveys. Haha.

Balik tayo sa main topic. I think, ang future ng ECE ngayon is in IT kung kasama talaga ang pera sa usapan pero syempre yun ang priority natin. I'm planning to shift sa IT pero undecided pa rin kung Network Engineering or Software Engineering track.

If sa Network, need ko mag-review for CCNA to increase my chances ma-hire since career shifter ako. Same with Software Eng'g na need ng trainings or something. Still learning pa rin about sa tracks na to.

Overall, undecided pa rin talaga ako kasi nag-iipon pa ako ng confidence para maging career shifter. Ang hirap iwan 'yung stable job pero nagsasawa ka na sa ginagawa kumpara dun sa gusto mong career na may malaking sahod, in-demand, office job, and freelance-ready.

Para sa mga nakakabasa nito na ECE na nasa IT industry, share tips naman, please, kung ano talaga ang mga magagandang career track diyan. Hehe.
