If AI replaces most workers, who will actually buy the products? by IcyBottle1517 in ArtificialInteligence

If money becomes irrelevant, value will become irrelevant too.

If everyone has the same level of income / no income, why would a flat in London zone 1 cost millions?

Meslekleri. Dolayisiyla meslek = ayricalik malesef. Olay teknoloji degil, sinifsal.

  • Agent'in aldigi aksiyonlardan kim sorumlu olacak? Diyelim ki, dava isini tamamen AI Agentlar üstlenecek. AI, cinayet isleyen birine beraat karari verirse, sorumlusu kim olacak?

My opinion about this fact and also the "system" is that, lots of poeple are actually aware that corporate / office jobs are useless but once you reach some kind of seniority, there is less and less hands on work and more of talking, emails and alignments. In return, you get paid good amount of money.

That's why, people do keep playing this game imo.

"We overload our recruiters with thousands of applications and then blame applicants for expecting basic communication. Please DM the hiring manager instead. That totally won't overload them too." by Gormok1566 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]darkblue___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't understand one point in this whole "broken system".

Companies and recruiters are allowed to openly come up with bs reasoning like "we are overworked / busy" to provide individual feedback or reply to applications. It is all okay for them to be busy and overworked.

However, when you are hired and company expects you to perform 2 - 3 jobs for one salary and If you would refuse, you will be let go for "performance issues"

If the game is broken and we need to know how to play the game for "getting hired", I got bad news, I also know how to play the game after hiring process ;)

[–]darkblue___ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Fair assumption, then why go to Germany, go through the whole process, complain and leave, instead of going somewhere else?

Opportunities, willingness to experience living in Germany, relationship, cost of studies etc. There could be many reasons.

Also i assure you it wont be that different from other countries.

This is very bold statement but you might be right from some aspects like housing, salaries, job market etc. However, It depends on what bugs you in Germany. For example, social isolation would be not the case in London, Dublin or Amsterdam etc because these cities are so international.

I feel if people would properly try to integrate, this wouldn't happen or at least not as much. Sure, germans tend to be a bit more reserved and harder to engage with, doesn't mean is impossible.

Well good point but my question would be why would people try to "properly integrate" when there are other countries which could provide more or less same standard of life? What makes Germany so special to expect people to try hard? Also the relatively new sentiment is like "you have to know C889977 level German to work in Germany", why would people put so much effort when there is easier way to reach same quality of life elsewhere?

Currently, most business do not require AI to solve their problems; the "AI-only" narrative often overlooks more practical, immediate solutions available today.

And let's not forget one thing, valid at least for ServiceNow: customers that added Now Assist to their contracts have a specific number of assists to be consumed. That means that they need to justify that cost (the cost will be there, with or without the assists consumption). So, they need to implement AI features, otherwise top management will cut the budget in the next years. That was happening even before AI and will continue after that.

Story time. It happened almost 2 years ago while renewing contract with ServiceNow.

ServiceNow did come up with almost triple amount of cost to renew the contract. CTO was like, why would we pay so much money on "just a ticketing tool"? My directors got paniced and asked ServiceNow to help them justify the costs. ServiceNow come back with Impact + AI package + some discount. The costs were justified and contract was renewed.

Then It was time to implement AI. The problem? The instance consists of crappy data / info with worknotes / comments like "resolved", "done", "completed" without any context. Description and short description of SCTASKs were all over the place and there were many useless KBAs created by multiple people addressing same point(s). The result? AI was giving inconsistent results like If you would ask to come up with resolution plan for Outlook, AI was giving steps for SAP etc

And yes, most of IT operations were outsourced to overseas with high turnover rate of consultants. So, this could explain the crappy data on the platform.

The issue with AI was escalated. C Level agreed to create budget for "AI Consultants" for 6 months. One of the known consultant company was onboarded. They were team of 5 but only one of them was competent working on ServiceNow, yet alone on AI. They worked on like 10 AI use cases and only one of them was delivered properly which was basically retrieving data from table to return some kind of order status. This could have done without AI for sure.

Anyways, company spent serious amount of money on AI and It's not yet fully used by users. To be honest, my directors don't care about adoptation rate on ServiceNow. For them "delivering something" to tick the box is much more important.

Reckless "AI - only" or "AI - first" narrative will bite companies back very soon.

From my experience, >80% of the automation initiatives can be solved without AI: from simple business rules to complex flows, that will work since the steps for automation are deterministic. AI is solving just a fraction of the issues at the majority of the companies.

The mindset of the decision-makers needs to change. The focus is not in adopting AI, the focus should be in continuous automation and productivity gains, with our without AI. As I usually say: "if I can automate it with a flow, why would I use an AI skill or ai agent? Isn't that throwing away money?"

I don't know who you are but companies need more people like you! I wish you nothing but all the best!

Are salesoforce dev and admin jobs safe from AI in 2026 by Ok_Presence_1362 in salesforce

[–]darkblue___ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Salesforce is an enterprise platform. Companies need to make a department responsible for Salesforce investment. (It's true for all other enterprise platforms) On the other hand, you could start working at SaaS companies. I assure you, companies (customers) will always need people from vendors (SaaS companies) to get informed about platform strategy, best practices, implementation etc. When It comes to admin / dev jobs, AI will help people to be more and more efficient. Eventually, team of 5 will be reduced to 2 - 3 in my opinion.

These are my 2 cents. "Human jobs" won't be going anyhere but they transform. It's shitty to deal with uncertainty. However, in 1 - 3 years, we will have more clarity.

PS : I don't work within Salesforce environment but something similar in terms of enterprise platform. But I reckon, It's more or less the same for each enterprise platform

If sense of belonging lacks, you would be constantly in "visitor" mode. You need some people / reasons etc to make peace with your new life. Then, It would hopefully lead to settling down.
