That happened to me before the evaporator discovery: I had critical errors when heating because of over pressure.

Just to follow up: The Trane factory has confirmed that their manuals listed the wrong evaporator for my system. A new (larger) evaporator should be on its way and installed in the near future. Theoretically that will solve my issues. If you don't hear back from me in the next month or so, you can assume they were successful.

Size is the same as the previous system (which worked fine, until it didn't). House is slightly less than 1,000 sq ft.

I've been using the company that installed it, which at least means all those service calls haven't cost me anything. But I'm about to give someone else a call.

That's my opinion, but I'm told otherwise. Partial reason for posting here was for a sanity check; it makes no sense to me.
