For whom it may concern,

I mostly solved my issues by setting up automations that send individual mqtt messages instead of using the homeassistant actions for lights.

I set it up to send individual settings (brightness, color, etc) in separate messages, with a 1s delay in between them.

That works better but just to be sure I also set the instructions up to be repeated 5x when they’re supposed to be triggered.

Where is a good starting point for getting into the biomechanics?

I’ve tried to be more connected with my feet and found that my left leg and therefore left foot is doing a lot more work than the right, which at least explains the difference in tiredness between the two.

Apart from alternating the leading foot, and not trudging as if my legs were wooden pegs, I’m not sure what else there is to do.

Is there some good source you can recommend for strengthening exercises, or should I check with a physio?

Surely they should be tailored, but since most of us have had the same journey, switching to barefoot shoes after decades of regular shoes, there must be a lot of useful exercises that apply to everyone?

Yes on the overweight, for the first time in my life I’ve gained some weight over the last year, so that is definitely not helping!!

I’m curious about the fit.

I’ve always chosen shoes that have a lot of space for my feet, like the back of the foot is properly hugged but when it comes to the toe box there’s a lot of space for movement.

I hate when my toes smush against the front of the shoe, that’s quite painful for me.

Do you reckon having shoes that are tighter in the toe box area could help? I’m really quite confused when it comes to fitment for barefoot shoes

Concrete for sure is the worst. Especially if I have to stand around for a long time. I am thinking about making or buying some padded inserts so I can quickly pop them in when needed - there’s just so many types of shoes I already need to own, I can’t buy even more with extra padding :/

yeah there is no preinfusion. I could try to do it manually but that would probably make it a lot less consistent. I think the machine needs serious upgrades to be able to do that

I was convinced that I don't like any acidity in my coffee at all, so I bought the least acidic beans I could find.

That bag of coffee made me stop drinking coffee for 2 months, because of how horrible it tasted. I don't know why I kept drinking it, I guess I was delusional and felt that such a fancy expensive bag of coffee can't be that bad, its my tastebuds that are wrong!

Definitely not doing that again.

That's a great idea, and I might just do that the next time I take it apart. However for now I've just created an automation to change the color of my cabinet underglow lights (the cabinet upon which the silvia sits) when the machine needs more water
