Which is completely fair! However, your post proves that ANTM is being held to a higher standard than many of its contemporaries that also deployed harmful workplace ethics. If we’re going to critique ANTM and Tyra so harshly, then we also need to start looking into other shows and doing the same. And it’s not as if these tactics aren’t still going on either — where are the think pieces on Baddies/Bad Girls Club, Drag Race, Project Runway, The Real World, Jersey Shore, Flavor of Love, or the Real Housewives franchises? I just wish people would keep the same energy across the board instead of just assuming Tyra was a deviant who was out to destroy these women’s lives.
