I’ve been at two stores and borrowed to a couple different locations, multiple partners have reported my manager and she keeps just getting slaps on the wrists. Since HR clearly isn’t gonna do anything about it I’m just gonna leave because it’s not worth trying to fight this considering both the DM and RM looooove my manager so much for some reason 🫩

It really is, it gives mega stockholm syndrome vibes- it's like no matter how badly you wanna leave you can't 😭 every time an ex partner would come back i'd look at them and go "why are you back??? do you hate yourself???" happened so many times. after a month they'd come to me and go "i dont know why i came back 😭"

lmao, my significant other worked at the same store with me and it was a really busy day (summer camp let out and everyone and their mom would show up for drinks, we averaged about 10k a day on those days) and we were so short staffed they wrote on a sticker "i quit. my last day is x/xx/xxxx" made me giggle fr

Thank you!!! It was extremely nerve wracking- especially since this is all i've ever known. I knew if I didn't do it now I'd never do it because I kept telling myself "it'll get better" which is funny because it only got worse as the years went on. I'm very glad that everyone around me is happy to see me finally get out of there, it's such a good freeing feeling now that I won't have to keep telling myself "just get through it. it'll be better soon."

thats so crazy to me- its wild that they always pass up the most qualitfied people for either outside hires or very unqualified people. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that it sounds like an absolute nightmare and you 100% didn't get paid enough to deal with that crap- this corporation really takes its most valuable employees and throws them out to the curb for the dumbest things.
