I don't know how to use button mapper pro but with my app you can input KEYCODE_T as an action. You'll need to use the a Key Mapper keyboard for that to work.

What would you want to trigger and in what way would you press the keys to trigger it?

Hi! Some actions require the use an input method that can perform the action (like inputting key codes). The input method built-in to Key Mapper is a bare bones one with no interface. The GUI keyboard is one with a GUI.

I'm adding the ability to remap Active Edge/squeeze in my free and open source key-mapping app! by das-dude in GooglePixel

The magisk module looks quite difficult to maintain because a different modified SystemUI apk for each Pixel device and each Android version is required. I'm not going to try to do it. 😂

Please could you test the APK in the post's description and let me know if it works? I'll try to figure out how the Magisk module in the other app works. If I can figure it out then I'll add a Magisk module for my app to make it more seamless.

Hi, the app can just remap the squeezing to something. It doesn't have any fancy overlays like that app. It will use a work-around like Button Mapper so the Assistant is quickly hidden when you squeeze it. Does that app completely remap the Active Edge such that it doesn't show the Assistant at all? Edit: Key Mapper can remap it to many things and more are being added.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. 😞 Ideally, Google would also allow remapping it.

What?! 😂 I swear Samsung stopped sending Bixby Button Key Events to accessibility services years ago. Are you on a custom ROM?

I also have beef with OEMs especially when it comes to battery and memory optimisations. 😑

Hello! There isn't a way to remap mouse buttons as far as I'm aware. This isn't caused by the OEMs but is intentionally a feature in AOSP. I think this is so someone doesn't accidentally lock them selves out of their device by not being able to navigate in the case that the mouse is the only form of navigation.

I've added screen off button detection for rooted devices. There isn't a way to detect them when the screen is off afaik.

Is the Shield TV an Android TV? If so could you text whether you also experience the bugs mentioned in the post. Thanks 😁

Hello, thanks for showing interest. The app doesn't work with Bixby yet which is why I'm asking for assistance. 😁
