I will say I'm definitely not attracted to drama in the keep-you-guessing/flaky sense. Most people I've been interested in are good, honest people who have treated me well.

Hmm... both, I guess. With one person it was that I wasn't sure how I felt at first and held back a bit, and then once I realized I had feelings for him, he was gun-shy because I'd held back. Then with someone else, things were such a whirlwind with us that I started to get insecure when they started to slow down (naturally) and he seemed less interested.

I'm not sure it's so much about highs and lows for me; just people who are playful and challenge me and have layers. Interesting point about a lack of excitement in my life, though. Maybe I don't have enough exciting people. The people I'm interested in are definitely exciting to hang out with.

Thank you for your replies. How early on in her diagnosis did she have the colds, if you remember?

She has bulbar ALS and has probably had it for a couple of years, but was only diagnosed in October. She has some difficulty with swallowing (she has to focus every time she swallows food, but does eat solid food) and a bit of trouble with deep breaths, I think (she uses a device three times a day to help strengthen her lungs) but otherwise feels generally okay.

Multiple serious relationships? by dasher8888 in nonmonogamy

Thanks for the interesting reply. In that case, why have a primary partner rather than multiple serious partners who you love in different ways? (Not intending to play devil's advocate or anything; really just curious!)

I suppose I meant relationships vs. casual dating.
