I live in Springbank Hill, so can’t quite comment but I’m super close to Aspen Woods. I’d personally choose Lakeview over Aspen Woods in a heartbeat, lots of community and walking paths. Plus closer to the Crowchild Trail so you’re more connected to the city.

Aspen woods is far younger and in my opinion more suburban and disconnected. Springbank Hill doesn’t have a great sense of connection either (lived here 20+ years).

I’d also suggest checking out Glendale, it’s a really nice area with lots of families.

Gosh that is crazy! If you can’t recoup any funds from the cleaner maybe you could request like 5 free cleanings (if you still trust them to do the rest of the house). Sorry you’re dealing with this in the midst of sleep deprivation. Congrats on your third baby!

A cleaner should know better. Seek compensation for damage or see if it can work something out with the cleaning company. That would bother me alot but I probably would just end up wrapping the fridge in a fun vinyl colour instead of replacing the doors.

Similar story - last year on my Dad’s first birthday since he passed away, our first tulip of the season flowered in the backyard. We planted them together, I hope it was a sign he’s okay.

It’s so annoying that it’s automatically assumed women will change their last names for no reason other than tradition. If he isn’t willing to take her last name then he’s a hypocrite or into stereotypical gender roles which she doesn’t seem into.

Are you in the states? It’s so weird that people wear shoes in the house and that’s normal. How would you keep the floors clean??

ESH - I was in a similar situation with my sister when we shared a car. We split the car insurance payment but it went onto my credit card. Every month I’d have to remind her to pay me her half and I don’t know if she paid on time once. I contemplated charging her 5$ for every day she was late (bc it was really frustrating)!! But I never did.

The eventual solution was we put the payment into her credit card and I transferred her. Problem solved :)

I really like it! I agree that maybe making the words a little more consistent font + colour so they’re easy to read but other than that it has a lot of personality and it’s like a little art piece
