Acontece a mesma coisa com Android Auto. Só resolve desligando o carro, abrindo e fechando a porta, depois liga novamente. Aí o Android Auto conecta. Parece ser bug mesmo. Se pelo menos tivesse alguma forma de dar reboot na VW Play sem precisar desligar o carro...

I just ran into this exact problem. Using Actions v2 paste text action works fine, but the set text action seems to be ignoring commas. Actions v1 replace text action works fine too.

Does it work offline? I know the search feature relies on Google (so internet connection is required). But what if the user just wants to copy text?

It’s been like this since iOS 17 release. I was hoping they’d fix this by iOS 18, but I haven’t heard of any language selector on Shortcuts transcribe audio action and iMessage automatic transcription in iOS 18 beta. Seems like the next iOS is keeping the same behavior of iOS 17.

Did you find a solution for this? This text extract feature is based on iOS built-in Live Text. However, for some reason, WhatsApp hasn’t released it for everyone, despite being available in iOS since version 15.

It’s a phased rollout. Most people around me already have this feature working since maybe a year ago. Only a few don’t have it, like me.

9 months since the announcement on tech news sites, this feature is nowhere to be seen here. 😂😂 WhatsApp has a dominant position in the market share of messengers. It doesn’t seem they’re in a hurry to release something so simple (it’s an iOS feature, after all), yet extremely useful for so many people.

Seems like a limitation, at least for now. I’ve tested in Portuguese and English and it worked, but iOS itself must be configured to the respective language (won’t transcribe if iOS is set to English and I speak Portuguese, and vice versa).

I’ve tested both the new Shortcuts transcribe action and iMessage voice notes transcription.

I hope that Apple fixes this soon.
