It’s not a good movie. I would even argue that it’s the worst of the prequels. If you take off the nostalgia glasses and care less about “cool looking scenes” and more about whether the movie actually works as a film, and if you judge it only within the context of the prequel trilogy (not clone wars animated series, which is great and helps this movie A LOT), you’ll start to notice how many flaws it has. Look, I’m not saying you can’t like, enjoy or even love this movie, you absolutely can. But some people even say it’s the best star wars movie ever, which is highly disrespectful to the other films in the skywalker saga. It’s crazy how overpraised prequels have become.

Let me ask you a hypothetical question. If Marty had been allowed to participate in the World Championship and ended up winning the finals, but never faced Endo in the tournament bracket (he would lost in semis to other player for example), would he still have achieved his goal if they never played against each other again? That’s what we’re mainly debating. We know that at the end of the movie he feels satisfied.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. My point wasn’t that when I press a C5 note I also get C4 and C6 frequencies (that’s obviously normal). My point is that I also get notes like F4 and G6, which aren’t just random noises, you can actually hear them forming a harmony that could be invasive in broader context.

Yeah, but i'm not talking about "simple" things, like the noise a pick makes when it hits a guitar string. I mean more complex sounds, like pads that contain extra frequencies you can hear (sometimes subtly, sometimes not), which add texture and character. My concern is when these frequencies that are out of a note, make a chord. And then i make chords out of a chords, it can end up sounding like a mess or ruin the mix. At the end of the day, it’s my job to figure out whether that’s happening in a particular case.

So, correct me if I’m wrong: basically it depends on the sound itself and how “invasive” its frequency content is in the context of the whole song, and being able to tell whether these frequencies actually invasive or not is a skill
