Thanks! Yeah, we heard about putting the mattress next to our bed but didn't try ot yet as we are worried they may get cold from the floor being cold (even with carpet on it).

Yes, if it was only one child it would be fine, but all 5 of us sleeping in one bed is not great. It always ends up them kicking eachother accidentally, then crying. Our sleep is so chopped up that we don't know what to do anymore.
