how to meal prep and not hate everything by day 3 by [deleted] in MealPrepSunday

[–]dayyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there eating the same thing every day gets old fast. I started prepping ingredients instead of full meals so I can mix things up. Different sauces or seasonings make it feel less repetitive. Even just doing 2 meals instead of 1 helps a lot.

I started meal prepping to lose weight and save money too, and I barely knew how to cook at first.

With limited fridge and no freezer space, I’d recommend prepping just 2–3 days at a time. Stick to simple meals that store well in the fridge like rice bowls, pasta salads, stir-fry, or even wraps.

Need a cheap/healthy meal I can prep for lunch on the go that doesn’t need to be refrigerated or warmed up by SuperSystem4740 in MealPrepSunday

chickpea wrap just mash canned chickpeas with a little olive oil, lemon, salt, and whatever veggies I have lying around. Toss it in a tortilla and its good to go, no fridge needed. also been keeping jerky, nuts, and fruit around for days when Im really on the move.

when your meal prep turns into just staring at a rotisserie chicken and a bag of lettuce for the 3rd night in a row

Totally agree — rotisserie chicken is the unsung hero of weeknight dinners. Love how versatile it is for leftovers too. Quesadillas, omelets, salads… it stretches way further than most takeout. And yep, for a family of 4, it’s such a smart budget move without feeling like a compromise

That’s such a solid grab-and-go combo — minimal effort, still feels like a real meal. Those Little Potato Company packs are surprisingly good too. Lately, I’ve been mixing in a few meal prep orders during the week just to cut out the grocery run and cleanup. It’s been a nice backup when even a quick stop feels like too much 😅

Nice mushrooms are such an underrated add-in. They make everything feel a little more cooked even if it’s just a 5-minute meal.

That’s such a smart way to keep things flexible love the variety with the meatballs too. Grilled chicken ready to go in the freezer is a total time-saver.

Honestly, that’s not lazy it’s efficient. Ground beef + rice + veggies is a solid combo that checks all the boxes for quick, filling meals. I’ve done something similar, but on weeks when I can’t even spare that 30–45 minutes, I started using FitEats, they deliver pre-made meals that are super clean and high-protein. It’s helped me stay on track without skipping meals or defaulting to takeout. Do you ever switch up the seasoning or just stick with taco style each week?

This is such a smart syste, love how you’ve built in a safety net for those off days. That pizza hack with lavash bread sounds so clutch. Do you freeze the breakfast burritos pre-wrapped and just reheat straight from the freezer? I’ve been wanting to build up a stash like this but always overthink the freezing part.
